Default Mariah Carey: "Dieting bores me"

MARIAH CAREY finds it tough maintaining her fabulous figure because fatty food is fun and dieting is "boring".
The 38-year-old stays in shape thanks to a gruelling workout and a restrictive eating regime.
And she admits she pines for something tasty to eat.
She says, "Working out and dieting and eating boring food. I can't go to the barbeque spot."
But she does concede the diet is working, and she feels good when she is fit: "I need to work out more. But the diet thing is what works best for me. But it's good for health. It's good to be healthy, yes? Everybody needs to be how ever they feel best, that's what I think."

Mariah seems like someone who bores easily. Kind of like a child.

My mind continues to perplex at the reasoning for people (particularly celebrities) feeling the need to have the perfect body image. Sure, it would be nice to look attractive at all times and have what is considered to be the ‘ultimate physique’ but is it really worth making yourself miserable; constantly depriving yourself of delicious yet devilish foodstuff, working out until your body can not physically do any more?

I believe it is important to be fit and healthy, of course, but when it starts to effect your disposition, I believe it to be taking over your whole life, which cannot be healthy in general.

She's no stranger to cosmetic surgery....she's been sucked and tucked. As for dieting....your personal chef can cook anything your heart desires and prepare a healthier version of it. A personal assistant make sure its in front of your face anytime you want it. I don't see the problem!

I never thought she had a wonderful silhouette. She's always been puffy and always had a heavy look. That's why I believe her when she admitts she can't be on a diet!

I think her body is fine, but the implants make her look heavier than she is. Those implants are her biggest problem.

Yep, I agree - her chest makes her look top-heavy. Plus, dressing like she works the red light district doesn't help.

She was actually very slim, tiny and small breasted when she first came on the scene at 20. Breast implants and excessive dieting (which screws up your metabolism) contributed to the puffiness you speak of.

I think she looks great, I'm sure all the fat comments about her didnt help, even though she never really was. I think she looks awesome, and she dresses wayyyy better/classier now, I'm so proud of her!
