    ^^^^
    i finished it.
i kind of agree with you in theory but at the same time i really enjoy watching that show even if it's kind of masochistic viewing. in a weird twisted way it's what we need in these times lol
that said, finish the latest season, it's worth it. i agree the pace of the first half of the season (and last season) are kind of slow but the pace picks up again in the second half.

^ I really want to see that - trying to work out which channel HBO is on in the UK.

I watched a Spanish series on Netflix called La Cocinera de Castamar, set in the early 18th century so the frocks, hair and sets are gorgeous. It’s about an agoraphobic cook who falls in love with a widowed duke. I loved it, although the lead actress took some getting used to because she looks really anaemic, and El Duque broods all over the place like some kind of middle aged vampire.

^^ Oooh, I saw the trailer for that and wasn't sure. Adding!

Currently watching Atypical. It's okay though kinda soapy, but I wish Jennifer Jason Leigh's PS wasn't so distracting.

Aside from that it's really well made and the stories are pretty good. It's based on books by JK Rowling, but don't let that put you off.
i'm watching this, thanks for the recommendation!
the main character (Strike) looks like a mix between Hugh Grant and Pedro Pascal. i don't think i have seen him in anything before this.

He was also in War and Peace, playing the slimy dude who shagged Pierre’s wife.

I started the new season of never have I ever
I’d forgotten how much I love John McEnroe’s voiceover. It shouldn’t work but somehow it’s perfect

I just started this too. It's brilliant. John McEnroe's narration makes the show.

I loved it too - then the narration took a turn for the worse (you'll find out).

But it’s just the one episode so not enough to ruin the show, thankfully.
