    I forgive you...
Everyone just loves The Color Purple, and it was good, but it went over the line into emotional manipulation at points-it tried too hard and some things were just so set up...certain scenes, like when the daughter is coming back from Africa, and then they pan to the scene on the porch, and as if on cue they all rise at the same time with the same far away look in their eyes...it just does not happen that way!-it just looked so staged.

Things like that just irked me to no end. I like the movie, but it was not GREAT..at least to me.

Loved Shug. Damn would that woman be fun to drink and party with!!

    The Blue Lagoon
    Age of Innocence
    Brokeback Mountain
Twilight (I love vampire movies and books but I can't stand Meyer's pathetic/glittery vampires)
    Closer
    Cold Mountain
    Mr. & Mrs. Smith
    Shakespeare in Love
    Alexander
Any movie with Scarlett Johansson, Angelina Jolie, Robin Williams, Julia Roberts, Kevin Costner, Adam Sandler or Mel Gibson...

Titanic could have been an hour shorter. All they had to do was take out the inscessent "Rose" "Jack" "Rose" "Jack" every three minutes.

Ugh. Turned it off less than halfway through. Insufferable.

One of my favorites! Made me a huge Frances McDormand fan.

I've always felt pressured to like those Bourne movies with Matt Damon but I hate them all. I'm so uninterested in the characters that I don't pay attention, and the plot goes right over my head. Everybody else seems to think they're great.

I thought I was going to hate teh Bourne movies since I generally don't get into action flicks but sort of fell in love with them. Shocked myself with that one.

I think Alien kind of sucks, by the way, but that might be because mr butt has been shoving them down my throat all these years.

    the bourne movies are awesome.

and i love the alien movies but then i love star wars and all those movies as well. i put it down to the fact that i grew up with 3 brothers and i hated girlie shit even when i was little, but i loved anything about aliens, space, adventure and gore.

^^I grew up with one brother and a bunch of sisters so we always prevailed when it came to viewing. Plus, my brother was too busy torturing us to worry about what we were going to watch. That said, I usually don't like chick films either (save A Star is Born and Bridges of Madison County--don't anyone dare say a word against them or I'll have ya!).
