    Generally it seems like any film which won 'best picture' at the Oscar is overrated. It's like some kind of virus sweeps the world and everyone thinks it is amazing, then oh, yeah, that was a shit film actually.....

    and awwww 'being there' is so sweet. i haven't seen it in years and years but i remember really liking that movie. but then i'm a sucker for peter sellers.

    Oh man, I tried to watch that recently. Switched it off after about 20 minutes. I could tell it was going for the emotional jugular and I hate films that do that.
