Default Ragdoll Mama Cat and Her New Babies

Ragdolls are all born solid white and then their colors or "seal points" come in over the next three years. This mama just had these babies yesterday.

She just birthed 6 babies. She's probably tired. LOL!

The mom's seal points are a little lighter than I am used to seeing for a ragdoll.

^^ I think she's a blue or light chocolate point.

From Wikipedia: Pointed Colors: seal point, blue point, chocolate point, lilac point, red point, cream point, tortie point. The coat patterns of the Ragdolls are: colorpoint, mitted, bicolor & lynx (tabby markings in one of the three previous patterns). The varying patterns may be bred in the above colors.

So sweet. Thanks for the ragdoll reference, bluebonnet.

Someone on Facebook. A breeder...or shall I say a "cattery". These are purebreds. I "liked" their page for the cute pics!

^I see, you scour the Internet for cute kitty pics too! (not that any scouring is needed, they're readily available!)

This is what I'm used to seeing - this was my brother's enormous, beloved Ragdoll (you can see my kids on either side). I guess he was a chocolate point:

He's gorgeous!!! Yep. Seal point. What does he weigh? I think the males can get up to 30 lbs.

He was deceptively light. I think somewhere around 15 pounds. I could have sworn my brother had two of them. The first one I remember, "Cochise", was actually a giant Birman, although he looked like a Ragdoll with lighter points. However, you could definitely tell he was not a Ragdoll because he was high strung and ran from my kids. This cat was "Beethoven", I think. Very sweet cat that would hang out with people.

Unfortunately, my brother lost both cats to health problems (cancer, I think).

My cousin had one that looked just like that. Gorgeous cat. We used to laugh that he was all looks and no brains. He was sweet too.
