Default Mia Farrow fears omen curse

    FARROW FEARS OMEN CURSE

Actress MIA FARROW was terrified during filming for the remake of 1960s horror film THE OMEN, because of the 'curse' that struck her co-stars on another satanic film, ROSEMARY'S BABY. WOODY ALLEN's ex admits the film reminded her of the 1968 ROMAN POLANSKI movie and the horrendous events that occurred afterwards - star SIDNEY BLACKMER and Polanksi's wife SHARON TATE died within a few years of the film's release. Farrow says, "I remember the scene where people were toasting Satan and dear old SIDNEY BLACKMER (who played Satanist ROMAN CASTEVET), saying, 'This isn't good, this is very bad luck.' "Sure enough, the next year Sidney was blind and then he died. There were many deaths. Roman's beautiful wife Sharon". Polanski's pregnant wife Sharon was murdered by serial killer CHARLES MANSON's followers in August 1969.

So, to combat this omen, she adopted 18 kids and hoped that would even out the score?? cool.

Yeah, that'll solve the world's problems: Adopt a raftload of kids so everyone can say what a great and noble person you are!

So the Omen is being remade & Mia is in it, or am I misunderstanding?

Rosemary's Baby was one creepy movie.

...oooh. I love ghost stories with conspiracy threads.

Maybe everyone from that movie is dead because, if fellow-movie geeks will recall, they were already old when the movie came out - what, in 1968? - I believe the median age of Ruth Gordon, Ralph Bellamy, Maurice Evans was 70!

Does anyone else here think that Mia hits da gange a wee bit?

I did read somewhere that Mia is cast as "Mrs. Blaylock," who is the really creepy Damian's equally if not more creepy nanny-nurse.

If Rosemary's Baby creeped her out so much, one would think that she would avoid doing that type of thing. Anyway, I didn't know she still acted.

Yeah, she fell off the radar when Woody Allen took off with one of her adoptees. *shiver* I imagine that roles (and the money) aren't exactly piling up her way...

I get the vibe that Mia makes horror movies because she doesn't have to *act* and is one of those people who love the thrill of being scared, even though they hate it the whole time.

Well that backfired too because her ex married one of them.

Do you think maybe Mia is adopting all those kids
so she can create her own "Manson family"?

Major bump, but I had to. Was zapping and stumbled upon the remake of The Omen on cable. The scariest thing about it is Mia Farrow's pillow face. I literally did not know it was her in the scene that was on when we stopped at the channel. After about half a minute I had to google to see if she was in the movie to confirm it was her. Scary weirdly young face with old hands giving the kid the strawberries.

I thought the Omen was made in 1976, not in the sixties.
I read Son of Rosemary. Fun read. But turns out, it was all a dream. So she shouldn't worry, lol.
