He won the César Award for Best Director in 2007 for his film Ne le dis à personne (Tell no one) based upon the novel by Harlan Coben, starring François Cluzet as the leading part. February 25th, 2007

He is mainly known internationally for his performance as Étienne for Danny Boyle's The Beach (2000).

Guillaume is also know for his role in the French film Jeux D'Enfants- known in English as "Love me if you Dare" (2003)
