^^If being gay could really ruin your career, no one in Holly-queer would get paid.
I think the best form of damage control would be for loads of stars (gay or not) to come out, shove it in everyones faces and drag the homophobes kicking and screaming into 2008.

Ofcourse when they are on the downlow and average joe doesn't have a clue, but OPEN and PROUD to the public isn't all that good for your career.
And TOTALLY agree with that last sentence!!!!! Jake first please.

I haven't heard anything else about this outing, like an activist saying it was the right/wrong thing to do. Seems everything has gone back to being under wraps?

Generally, people like that only offer comment on an 'outing' if there's proof or the subject admits to it.
For what it's worth, I completely believe this, but it definitely remains gossip, not fact.

Yeah, that's true. I was talking to my sister-in-law and mother-in-law the other day and was shocked that neither of them had any idea about all the rumours about John Travolta . But I guess most people don't read gossip columns and tabloids and so your average movie-goer or tv-watcher has no idea about all the rumours. They get all their entertainment info from places like People and InStyle, and so just swallow all the publicist-spewed propaganda.

Oh, definitely. No way it's a lawyer. Who would threaten their livelihood and risk being disbarred by violating client-attorney privilege? Even though I think he only did items directly involving his "clients" in the beginning to establish some credibility about his "lawyer" status and how he came to get this info. I don't follow him too closely though, does he still claim to dish dirt on his own clients?

What is outrageous is that people in Hollywood feel so pressured to hide their sexual orientation, or feel a need to go out of their way to prove that they are not gay, that they would resort to lawsuits and whatnot.
Supposedly hollywood is soooo "tolerant" and "open" yet it is racist and bigoted so those in the industry have no right to call others the same.
That is what I find most outrageous of all, that actors feel a need to hide their true selves in order to "fit" into the industry.
Sick.

Hayden's lack of chemistry with Rachel Bilson is just one of the reasons 'Jumper' sucked eggs.

That's why I totally believe it. He's always gotten somewhat mixed reviews as an actor - and his worst performances are the ones with romantic scenes with women. Honestly, watch Star Wars Episode Three with an open mind - who's he got the hots for, Portman or McGregor?
