Maxwell gay??!!
Well, a gay friend of mine told me years ago that he seen Maxwell at the Atlanta gay pride parade party. I can't say for sure if he is 100% gay or even bi-sexual, but I am well aware that not many straight males get involved in with hanging out at Pride Party's. I believe that he is gay and I think that is perfectly ok. I respect his music and he seems humble. Good for him either way....
RIP Michael Jackson...

I have had debates and intimate convos with the man on sexuality, love, the true meaning of life, and the higher power and our existance and meaning in this universe, and the brother is deep in his profound thinking and the way he views the world. Yes his upcoming release of new work has been pushed back, not because of "homo-erotic" overtones, but because most of the lyrics reflect his growing and spiritual views of the world. With songs that CAN be viewed as overtly homo-erotic, the clear message behind his new music just that EVERYONES LOVE IS VALID, not just hetrosexual's. He is trying with all his might to release music that will be an album of love-making music for EVERYONE, not just hetro-sexuals, and his record company hates this, because they want the "old maxwell" that catered to his female fan-base. To maxwell, sexuality is fluid like water, what ever container you put it in,...it takes that shape.(direct quoate from the artist himself). But to answer your question is maxwell homosexual or bi-sexual, the question would be no,(he loves woman, but maxwell loves the HUMAN BODY period,..he loves to be loved and adored). To maxwell, his sexuality is not an issue, its the energy of sex, love, and lovemaking that he thrives on,...he is a true connoisseur of love, and the art and energy of HUMANS LOVING OTHER HUMANS. To listen to his voice, (especially now, it has matured so much , and richer over the years), you feel inside this is a man that KNOWS what true love is, and you hear it in his voice.
I adore you maxwell, and thank you for be a true gift to the world, and a true friend.

Is He or Isn't He? You Judge.
I don't really know, don't really care (love him no matter) but the question was put to him directly in this Uptown Life interview and the following was his answer:
Quote:
You didn’t leave because you were beefing with Columbia Records over songs you’d written that they said could be interpreted as too gay-friendly? That’s one rumor that’s been floating around.
No. To this day, I wish I could find out where that [idea] came from. It never came from Columbia. MySpace had just started, and people were able to create their own Web pages—they could take your photo, your name, and pretend to be you. That happened to me and it happened to many people. If that's the worst thing that can be said, then I’m doing pretty good.
Do you mind if people question whether you’re gay?
No. Honestly, I feel like I’m in good company with a lot of other artists. I mean, what are you going to do? I’ll never have the last word. My life will speak for itself. And at the end of the day, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that lifestyle. It’s not my lifestyle, but it’s not that I think, ‘Oh, my God—how horrible.’ I'm in a musical world. I’m in a creative industry.
Well, do you want to get married, have kids, and the whole nine yards?
Yeah. I'm seeing [that lifestyle] now with all my friends who are having children. They’re progressing and going through life, and I see that’s something I need. But relationships can be tough for me. Maybe I create my own trapdoor somehow. I pick circumstances and situations that won’t allow for a long-term relationship. I have a hard time trusting. A lot of it has to do with my upbringing—my relationship with my mom and my relationship/nonrelationship with my dad [who was killed in a plane crash when Maxwell was 3] and then coming into this line of work. You never know what people’s motives are.

So judge for yourself. Here is a link to the full interview: UptownLife.Net - Maxwell: Soul Survivor

Not even close
MAXWELL IS FAR FROM GAY. He dated model Camila Alves for years ( Matthew McConaughey's baby's mother) and after her I saw him in Nobu in NYC with a very pretty blonde woman. NOT GAY AT ALL.

Why do women agree to be a beard?

So all the women he dated over the years just simply agreed to be his beard? Why? Fame by association? Money?
I could see that happening when he was in his heyday but what about all the women he dated during his seven year hiatus?
Just asking...

Camila is Matthew's beard! Are you kidding LOL Even Ted Casablanca on E! alluded to that.
Camila came into the picture when the media started whispering about his relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal and Lance Armstrong.
Hell, when Matt got Camila, Jake got Reese!
