Well, bearding doesn't mean you're gay yourself!
I for one do not believe that Penelope is gay at all and I do not get any kind of gay vibe from her at all... I don't know why people are always saying that...
Incidentally, I think she's rather delicious.

Penelope has on occassion been photographed with mystery women. She's also close with Pedro Almadovar - gay Spanish film director. The term for such women is 'lipstick lesbian'.

Well, duh, getting photographed with "mystery" (ie non celebrity) women must mean you are sleeping with them!

I do not see at all how that could mean anything other than the fact that she probably has many friends who aren't in the acting business.
Oh and if I were given the opportunity, I would also be as close as possible to Almodovar, because he ROCKS. How would that make me gay??

Because this is a gossip forum and we're talking Hollywood, and reality doesn't come into the mix.

I have gay friends and I believe I've said before my best friend in the world is gay and we do everything together. I also hang out with my female friends though; and neither make me gay, obviously.

But like I said, this ain't reality we're talking about — it's all just chatter, opinion, and speculation over pictures. She might be, she might not. We have no proof — only opinions.

It is just such a widely spread piece of gossip that it makes me wonder why even gossip bloggers would say it, without ever mentioning any specific rumours about why she might be a lesbian, know what I mean?

Quite true, none of that makes her gay. It's circumstancial evidence. That's the kind they couldn't convict OJ with.

All these people beard for each other, nothing new!! With the exception of a few heteros who've been made stars via the starmaker machinery, the power elite make stars out of so many gays (along with incredible breaks in the biz for minor gay actors), is isn't even funny.

I agree, but it seems to be a very different story when a straight man hangs out with a gay one; infact i've never seen it.

It is but I think that's just part of straight mens insecurity — or general insecurity; not every man is insecure. I know a few straight men that I'm friends with (through my best gay friend) and quite honestly I've questioned their sexuality because I thought: "why would a straight man hang out with a gay man all the time?" But after probing my best friend he assured me he's neither gay nor bi. He'd be the first to say it if he did think he was gay or bi (he's always calling everybody out when he sees them) so I tend to believe him.

So, my point is, people are different and not every man (or woman) fits that same, insecure, stereotypical mold. Hanging out with someone doesn't mean you are exactly like them. Often, I find, opposites attract and in this day and age, most people just don't give a damn. It may not be this way in the industry, Hollywood, work office etc. But I think in every day life the majority of people just don't care anymore.

lol I have often pinched a friend's ass in jest or patted it. That does not make me gay, just very comfortable with someone.
