And please stop rehashing that tired “beard” tune. Two of them (April and Dianne) were his girlfriends way before he was famous and under scrutiny. Three of them are semi-nobodies. Here lies the problem, actually. In LaLaLand, hot actors have an obligation to date exclusively hot fellow actresses. Doomed be those unconventional thespians who don’t follow the rules!

I know a guy who's pretty well known in the entertainment industry, married for many years to a gorgeous woman who loves him dearly, and they have children together. Did I mention he's gay? He doesn't try and hide it to those who know him, nor does he hide his string of young male "proteges" and doesn't need to because his social circle consists mostly of other gay men. He probably married her because at the time being gay wasn't as acceptable to the general public, but he sincerely adores her and will probably never leave her.

For all intents and purposes, she's his beard even though they love each other. But they most likely haven't slept together for years (obviously I can't confirm this) because he has no interest in women, anyone who talks to him for more than 10 seconds can tell. But she fulfills the role he needs her to play.

My point is, gay men do have wives and girlfriends. They may even sleep with them on occasion. Doesn't make them any less gay.
