Re David, Lance, Rupert, Jake, Tom, John and Kevin, I don't care in the least whether they're gay or not. The ones I like, I still like just as much. The ones I don't like, I still don't like to the same degree. (However, on the subject of Rupert, I believe Paula Yates once said of him that he was one of the world's greatest lays and a sad loss for womankind, so maybe I should care about him... )

As for wanting to know who's gay/straight, that's part of the purpose of gossip. This website is called gossiprocks, after all. And fantasy is what Hollywood is all about. They give us romantic movies, I want to be able to fantasise - is that so wrong?

Put that way, it sounds sensible and rightful (although I'm convinced that the real Tinseltown is one of the less romantic places in the world). As a matter of fact, I like the "tongue-in-cheek attitude". The problem is too many people really take all that yada yada yada seriously (must be kind of an outlet to them). That always bewilders me, because let's face it: none of us actually knows those people, and yet we're talking about them as though we were fleas inside their pants, it's just crazy!

With due respect, I wouldn’t call that an “opinion”, given what it is based upon. A belief at most. An irrational (and for some people, almost religious) belief that’s being fuelled by all sorts of charlatans, from the tabloid hacks to the desperate gossip addicts who claim they know someone who knows for sure… etc. I’m sorry, I’m just trying to live in the reality, which is quite a hard task in our uncontrolled media society.
