I've always thought there's a lot more to sexual orientation than most people think. People are generally very simple minded and only repeat what they're told but that's a dangerous and unrealistic viewpoint to have.
He might very well be bisexual, or even homoflexible or heteroflexible. Who frickin knows. I really don't think having sex/kissing the same sex makes you "gay," necessarily. It completely depends on the person and their intentions/feelings.

I've met way too many gay people to see how different each are, and how most don't fit that stereotypical "gay mold" and even the ones that DO are usually purposely doing it just to make a statement against homophobes.
Out of all the things that are "in the open" now -- so to speak -- I cannot believe people still believe stereotypes like this. How do people not understand that gay men/women are the same as anybody else? And that they too, come with different personalities.

I was watching an old rerun of Magnum, P.I. since once in awhile I get sick of the news, and I couldn't help but feel what I've always suspected, that Tom Selleck is gay or at least bi. Now he is a very masculine gay, if he is which I think he is. He just has that look, that vibe. I don't care that he's married, or has a child, etc. it's just something I get from his look and vibe. It's a hunch. This is coming from someone (me) who lived in L.A. and S.F. back when gays were more stereotyped than they are now, and people didn't really have to have gaydar back then the way they do now. Meaning, a lot of gay guys looked like Tom Selleck does and vice versa.
I also think JordanJ simply meant that Fishburne looks hereto, and unfortunately used a wrong choice of words ( normal).

Funny you should mention Tom, I was just watching a movie called In and Out and he plays a gay reporter in it. He says "I'm gay" about 10 times through the whole thing. I am not sure of his story, but he's a hottie!

The fact is, gay people are people and they want families like a lot of people do, so it's ok by me if they want to marry the opposite sex and have a family -- just as long as the spouse is hip to it and agrees to it. There's got to be scores of gays in Hollywood doing just that and you can't really blame them. Family can be a wonderful thing, esp. as a balance for crazy-ass Hollywood.

I completely agree with that, which is one of the reasons why I don't like the automatic "beard" and crap assumptions that it's just for show... We really don't know that. They could be perfectly happy together and have some arrangement... It's not all fake back-stabbing. I do know some women who have married their gay-best-friend because they loved each other (as friends obviously) and they both got something out of it (a family or... something along those lines). They both agreed to it and were perfectly happy about it. It's unconventional but I don't see anything wrong with it.

Calling a woman a beard doesn't mean she has no idea her husband/boyfriend is gay- it usually IS an arrangement. They know well.

Wow, I don't know how a woman could not know she's a beard, if she were being kept in the dark. When I was younger, I dated a couple of gay guys -- everyone was in the closet at the time -- and after awhile I figured out that something was up. No way could I have accepted that kind of arrangement - I liked sex too much for that. And if sex were part of the arrangement, I couldn't do it. Too many weird images and worries about STD's.

SATURDAY JANUARY 06, 2007 11:15 AM EST
By Julie Jordan
Actor Lawrence Fishburne and his actress wife Gina Torres are expecting a child, PEOPLE has learned exclusively. Torres's rep confirms the actress is due this summer.
The couple was married in 2002 and this is their first child together; Fishburne, 45, has two children from his previous marriage to Hanja Moss.
Torres, 37 (who stars in the FOX drama Standoff), will costar in the upcoming Chris Rock film I Think I Love My Wife. Fishburne can currently be seen in the Emilio Estevez-directed Bobby.
