Wait, I don't understand what you are saying. What cast members from Lost? And what about Tom and his little people? Those things can easily be set up by publicists, agents etc. You don't need a "mafia" to do it, and either way, that's no proof that it was set up by a "mafia." It really is not that hard to put two celebrities together for publicity. I believe that is done very often, and it's not always done to hide someone's sexual orientation, although many people think it is.
PR is PR is PR is PR.

Wait, no, the Velvet Mafia doesn't necessarily set up gay people to date, its a term thats been used in Hollywood to explain who runs the show; the homosexuals. Jackie Collins uses it in her books. Alot of casting agents and all that are gay and actors are required to do certain 'things' for roles- and this shows that alot of actors are secretly homosexual, or the more common thing is bisexual. Or just desperate for the role!

Oh I completely misunderstood that then. I honestly think more actors/actresses are bisexual than what is stated. I've heard about bisexuality in that business being big because of obvious reasons—you're surrounded by beautiful men and women and a lot of people are promiscuous and curious. I'm sure there are a lot of strictly homosexual "closeted" actors but I really think the majority are bisexual. That's easy to keep under wraps or play off though.
And no, Elijah is not gay—although many people like to believe that he is and I can't blame them. Dominic Monaghan is also not gay, as far as I'm concerned, but again, because of the LOTR thing people love to put them together. I have been following them since the beginning and I find that the majority of "rumors" were started by obsessive slash fans who wanted the hobbits to date. They over analyzed their every action and started a whole thing and I think it got carried away from there.
I know nothing about Evangeline, but I think he/she is assuming because she's dating Dominic that she is gay too. I don't buy it though.

I dont think people view biseuxality as a big deal. Homosexuals are more criticized, i dont think thats fair. I've actually heard someone say, "bisexuality is more NORMAL than homosexuality". Its just an awful thing to say.

That is an awful thing to say, I don't know where to begin with a comment like that.
I think I find that comment as stupid as the people who say bisexuality doesn't exist—that it really is just an excuse for homosexuals who are slowly coming out. I definitely believe in the Kinsey scale. We've been having sex for pleasure since the beginning of time, and no matter what you prefer (men, women, both, one but sometimes the other etc.) all sexual orientations are equal.

People have claimed Elijah to be gay long before LOTR. I have never thought him to be gay, although, I doubt more than half the people assumed gay actually are.
Are you assuming Elijah is hetero or you know this for a fact?

Was she assuming Elijah is gay or does she know this for a fact? Nobody here knows real facts cause we don't know the guy, of course I'm assuming. But my assumption is based off of something more than just tabloid fodder. Ian McKellen defended him on his website when someone called him a closeted homophobe (go figure) and Ian said that he was very much heterosexual and that he believed he is just the way he is because he grew up in a more accepting generation. That's a rundown of what he said but since Ian is very much a gay activist and he worked with him longer than most actors work with their co-stars, I trust Ian. I'm still not saying it's a fact though cause heck, maybe he's just really good at fooling his friends.
And what I meant by the rumors starting up after LOTR... Well I've been around and I remember following him for a long time—as I said—and there was definitely an influx of the rumors after LOTR, and obviously there were no DATING Dominic rumors until after LOTR. So my comment still stands because that's what I was talking about.
I'm sure there were rumors before LOTR (what actor doesn't get a gay rumor about them?) but not nearly as many as after.

Of course not everyone is, but for those who are (or are bi, or just desperate) the extra help makes sense.

Pamela Anderson --She was called a 7-11 store on a talk show (open all night)
Diana Ross - Every time I read a book about Motown or some of the artists who recorded with Motown someone names yet another lover she had back in the day. It was a Motown singer who revealed in her book that Ms. Ross's oldest daughter was Berry Gordy's. It seems Ms. Ross made her way thru Motown--Smokey, Marvin, A Temptation, Berry, etc. Ms. Ross slept her way straight to the TOP.

i read an interview with sandra oh and she says she doesn't know anyone in hollywood who isn't gay.
i've always heard jason priestly screwed his way to 90120
the evangaline lilly guess is interesting. she is beautiful but there is definitely a gay vibe. i thought it was strange when they the said the house she shared with 2 roommates burnt down. hmmmm. can't she afford her own place. i could be reaching but you would think she lived with that hobbit dude if they are so in love. interesting, but i'm not sure why
