Clay Aiken is gross and his music is crap.
I don't care if he is gay or straight.

I agree. I'm a fan although I'm not even close to a Claymate. That said, I do think Clay is the best singer any of the Idol shows anywhere has produced. (Well, aside from Kalan Porter, but I am Canadian!). Call me prudish, but I like what he's all about. He's refreshing. He's a nice guy who makes no apologies for it.
As for being gay, I'm not quite sure. Sometimes I think it's so obvious; other times hard to say. I don't invest too much time thinking about it because in the end, it has nothing to do with his singing. That stands on its own merits. If he were to announce tomorrow that he is indeed gay, it wouldn't change my opinion of him one bit. The guy's still incredibly talented. .......I'm just sayin'.

I agree with you Elisa, the guy is talented and honestly I don't care one way or the other, has nothing to do with my life whatsoever...
...but, uh, the guy is as queer as a tennis helmet.

Here's my 2cents. I think Clay was a geek in school and of course had no real experience with girls. He could have all the women he wants now, but without the background experience, I am sure it is very intimidating. He can't just start sleeping around, not to mention he has a christian upbringing. The guys only 26--it's refreshing to not have a celebrity's sexuality shoved in our faces.
You CANNOT argue that Clay Aiken can sing. The guy--can--sing.

the latest from perezhilton.com about lay and his gayness (11/10/05):
Quote:
The Claymates can shove their dildos back up their pie holes and start baking again, we've got some sugar for them that'll keep their pussy moist through the Holiday Season and beyond!
Appearing on the Howard Stern radio show this week, American Idol judge and little mister-know-it-all Simon Cowell was confronted by the King Of All Media and straight-up asked about Clay's sexuality.
Howard asked Simon if he thought Clay was gay, and he responded, "Absolutely not. I just think he's asexual."
Stern then proceeded to probe Cowell deeply about Gayken's career. "Has Clay blown it?," Howard asked. Simon couldn't stop laughing. He explained that Clay will be successful only if his next album is good.
Simon also said that maybe Clay is only in love with himself, "Which would make him gay since he's a man. "
You know, we think it's time for Clay to get a probing of his own and for a journalist to get the balls to just straight-up ask him if he's gay or if he's "really really gay"??

I don't know if he's gay or not. I'm from his hometown, and I still think NOT gay based on the fact that if he had even kissed a boy, someone would've blabbed by now. That and the fact that he had a strict Southern Baptist upbringing, where being gay is a "sin".
Yes, I believe he ACTS gay sometimes. I think he thinks he's being funny and doesn't realize that it comes across as stereotypically gay. If he's truly not gay, and he does seem to be hurt when interviewers ask if he is, then he needs to learn to downplay the characteristics that make him seem gay.
I personally don't believe the man has had much sexual experience at all one way or another. I think he is probably very repressed thanks to his upbringing. Yet again, I think if he had slept with anyone at all, male or female, someone would've talked by now.
