I thought Richard Simmons had been out forever...as in, are you kidding...me, straight?

I would like to add Cruise to the list too, but yeah, denial is a helluva river, so I don't see that happening.

I would like to see Tim Curry come out. If he's not gay, then he missed a fantastic chance.

Anderson Cooper isn't in the closet. Neither is Richard Simmons (anymore). This list blows. Except for Kevin Spacey and Queen Latifah.

I still can't make up my mind about Oprah. I think she just likes being single, and wants to keep her money HER money. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Yeah I'm not sure about Oprah myself. She seems slightly asexual, and mostly enamored with herself and her own power so I can't get a good read on whether she's into the ladies or not. Wouldn't surprise me though.

I agree that no one should HAVE to "come out", but if I was in that position, and there was speculation, I'd just do it to shut everyone up.

And while people say "It's no big deal" to come out, not everyone feels that way, and careers can be buried.

I'll speculate too:

Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica remind me of Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard. Non threatening 'soft' men with extroverted wives.

Jake Gyllenhaal, yes. But then I wonder why would Reese be with him unless she wanted a safe guy post divorce.

Oprah - I never think about Oprah in that way. I figure she's got a built in handsome escort with Stedman.

Maybe someone here will get my gaydar tuned in, because I have never thought that Tom Cruise or George Clooney were gay. I've never pinged! I don't know why.

For some reason it pinged a lot when I heard Miley Cyrus on Oprah a few years ago. Maybe she was 13 or 14. I said she's gonna be gay.

^Tom Cruise jumps on couches, though. Until then, I had always believed it was just unfounded rumours, but as soon as I saw that I became convinced he was gay. It was just protesting too much. He is, however, still severely in denial and trying really, really, really hard not to be gay. It's sad, really.

I didn't think Tom was gay until I came here. I'm pretty sure one of my first posts was asking why people think Tom Cruise is gay. Then my eyes were really opened to it. The ridiculous beards and fake pregnancy bellies haven't convinced me otherwise.

I don't get why anyone "has to" proclaim their sexual orientation. If you do then fine but if not, nobody really gives a fudge if you're gay, straight or bi, etc.

I generally do not believe in outing people, unless...

they are actively working against gay people while being in the closet themselves. It is the hyprocrisy that leads to them needing to be outed.

An example would be an actor who comes out publicly against gay marriage, gays in the military, etc. etc. ... but is a closet case himself.

And $cienos belong in this group, as they actively support a (big laugh..) "church" that is actively and vehemently anti-gay.
