In the closet and out of the closet - slideshows
Nice slideshows.
I never knew Cesar Romero (The Joker, Batman tv show) was gay. I thought he was a ladies man.

Oh yes, Cesar Romero I first heard about in the eighties. It surprised me, too, then.
Peter Allen was married to Liza Minelli once, wasn't he? She sure knows how to pick 'em
(unless she did it as a favor). Raymond Burr was also one that surprised those back then,
who had certain visual images of what gays looked like.

Did anyone else notice how many of the "in the closet" folks died of AIDS related complications...an alarmingly high percentage.

Yeah, that was really obvious, wasn't it?

It's not fair that people still feel forced to stay in the closet. I love my gay friends and don't like to see them go through the pain and suffering of having to pretend to be something they're not to their families and coworkers. Imo, there shouldn't even be a closet to begin with. Everyone deserves the right to be happy.

some of those people were obvious. they only fooled themselves. even the ones out the closet were obvious too. i saw thw speech when mcgreevey admitted he was a gay american. i worked with someone who grew up with him and from what she said mcgreevey was always gay. they all knew he was gay when they were young.

I wish some of those oldies could have just said "This is me-hang it if you don't like it!". I guess it was just too hard back then.
I don't think I know any gays in the closet now. Most are quite comfortable. And lovable.
