B.D. Wong from Law and Order gay?
I love his character on this show, and I kinda remember reading somewhere that he is gay. I can't remember when or where though. Does anyone know?

He is openly gay, yes. He does lecture tours and talks about being a gay actor and father and other things.

Re: B.D. Wong from Law and Order gay?
He also wrote a book called Following Foo:The Electronic Adventures of the Chestnut Man about the birth of his and his partner's son. From the very little bit I've read about it, Wong and his partner had a surrogate impregnated with Wong's sperm and the partner's sister's egg. It produced twins and they were born prematurely. One of the twins died at birth and the other lived. The book follows their living child struggle to live.

May 2003: published "Following Foo: the electronic adventures of the Chestnut Man", a memoire detailing the journey that he and longtime life partner, Richie Jackson, made towards parenthood with the assistance of a surrogate mother.
He and his partner welcomed their son, Jackson Foo Wong, on 28 May, 2000.

Didn't BD and his partner break up, though? I thought I had heard that a while ago...

Re: B.D. Wong from Law and Order gay?
I poked around a bit online to check, and apparently he and his partner did split up a couple of years ago or so, after being together for like 13 years. Sad, especially since they just had a baby. But it happens.

You're right, there is no guarantee in any relationship...gay or straight. And the aftermath is the same if kids are invoved-you have to make sure the kids are taken care of and don't suffer because of it...
