JJ's Dirt: Wanda Sykes comes out on Ellen DeGeneres' show
I love Ellen Degeneres!!! She has been my role model for years and is part of the reasoning I quit the blog.
I had to come back and blog something I found so special yesterday.
Ellen was ticked at Sally Kern for her recent comments concerning gay America, including an attempted phone call to the ridiculous Oklahoma State Representative. Ellen ended the segment implying Sally wouldn't like her show yesterday for the guests she was going to have on.
The first in Ellen's chair was comedian/actress Wanda Sykes. Sykes finally came out to the world as a lesbian on Ellen's show by stating she and her girlfriend recently went skiing and continued with commentary about the two.
Next on the program was the uber gay Danny Noriega...
How wonderful is it that we have a lesbian woman with a number one talk show breaking barriers with her award winning show? Yesterday's Ellen show was filled with gay love and it was beautiful to see those in the spotlight being themselves on a national platform.
I am proud to be a gay man right now. Thank you Wanda for not denying who you are to the world and Danny for being your true self.

I watched that episode, and I didn't even bat an eyelash when she was talking about her girlfriend, because I always knew she was gay and assumed she was already out. lol

Oh man she is funny, but not try-hard. She's the kind of person I would want as a friend ,who would think I'm crazy for laughing at her say 'hello'.
Good lord, I thought she must have come out ages ago, it's so freakin' obvious. Plus, there were some blind items that were pretty transparent. Still, if she hadn't formally done it, then I guess it's noteworthy.

Good for her. I am happy she can live an open life. However, I do not find her funny; she's annoying to me.
She is hilarious. I always got a vibe from her.
