(sorry about the typo in the subject line! )
Today the cast of Dreamgirls was on Oprah. The moment Eddie came out and first opened his mouth I felt it. Jes' sayin'. I know this is old news. He just seems so different than he used to. He's softer now, and much swish-ier than before. Comes from spending so much time with whathisname?! He probably doesn't care anymore, he knows it's out there.
(Beyonce really knocked my socks off when she sang at the end, BTW. Not a huge fan of hers, but she's growing on me. I had been prepared to snark a bit. And Simon Cowell ate Humble Pie by saying that Jennifer Hudson's performance was fabulous after he had really dissed her in AI, but he qualified it with a request (command?!) for a shoutout when she accepts her Oscar.)

Is "whathisname?!" Johnny Gill? Or is E.M. hanging around with someone else now? (And I don't mean Mel B. or Tracey Edmonds)

True. Eddie sure seemed different on the Oprah show. Maybe he's finally comfortable letting certain things show more. Well, I'm happy for him. I'm looking forward to this "steal the show" performance of his in Dreamgirls. I for one am glad he's back in something with more mainstream appeal. He is an extremely gifted performer. The bit where he was doing James Brown on SNL was shown a couple of days ago when JB first died.

Just found this article and thought I would post it here. I’m not up-to-date with Eddie Murphy gossip so I can’t really comment.
Quote:
MediaTakeOut.com has learned that in a recent interview with Sister2Sister magazine Johnnie Gill denied being romantically involved with Eddie Murphy. Below is an excerpt of that interview along with a photograph of Johnnie's newborn son Isiah:
"All that [EXPLETIVE]. Now come with all that [EXPLETIVE] now, and I've got a son now to protect with all that ignorant [EXPLETIVE]. And it's, like, now you're getting ready to see who Johnny is," said Gill.
"[Eddie Murphy is] my best friend for life," he continued. "And no matter what anybody wants to say, you're not splitting us up from being best friends. There's nothing you can do about it. Put it that way."
Johnnie, you doth protest too much. How are you doing? And how's Arsenio Hall?
Developing...

What? Somebody's alleging that Arsenio Hall is gay?
And I thought MediaTakeOut.com has little or no credibility...

I'm not sure, I dont doubt it though. He had a very lovely looking lass at his side for the SAG awards though. He's funny as hell, i love how when he went to get his award he did an impression of the british and then stops and starts talking in his funny way of talking again, haha. You have to see it to know what I'm tlaking about. Plus, I'll always see him as 'Donkey' in the Shrek movies!
