I just saw him in The Band Wagon with Fred Astaire. Handsome young man, fine dancer.
I go back to the old Cliff and Nina, Myra (the housekeeper) and Daisy days to the time Palmer married Donna Beck who was a hooker. (Worst soap actress ever). I vaguely remember her being wheeled into an abortion clinic and Palmer had arranged it.
If anyone remembers, please clarify.
I used to love Palmer Cortlandt. He was almost as much as an institution of AMC as Susan Lucci.
I knew he was gay since forever...RIP
My grace is sufficient for you, for my my strength is made perfect in weakness...I love you dad!
Rip Mom
PC was one of the best! I loved watching him interact with Daisy and Opal ("ya old coot!") on AMC, and sparring with Adam.
RIP, Mr. Mitchell.
I remember all the characters you mentioned, but I don't remember his marriage to Donna...
I forgot that his 'real' name was Pete Cooney, but then that was Dixie's name, too, when she blew into town.
I found this:

Into the sunrise. The sunset is sad to me….it only means the night is coming.
^^ Thank you! I enjoyed reading that so much. The Glamoramma!
My fave was Cliff and Nina. Great storyline and they were both so beautiful.
I swear Palmer had Donna wheeled into an abortion clinic with her kicking and screaming, but they didn't mention it.
Off to read more of that memory lane!
I remember that Adam used to treat Tad Martin with utmost contempt, didn't Palmer treat him the same way?
Do you remember Billy Clyde Tuggle..."Oh, Dixie Bird!" Now there was a character!
I loved the way that he called his cane his "persuadiating stick"!
Palmer, Adam, Phoebe, Mona, Erica Kane's long suffering mother, Billy Clyde Tuggle, Harold the Dog, all gone...
I haven't been watching AMC since the baby switchover story involving OLTL. I began watching OLTL since that time, thinking it was a better soap. I still think that it is, though a lot of the s/l s are plain silly.
I love Dorian and her "Cramer girls" and David Vickers.
I also love it when Dorian and Viki clash, the way Viki looks scathingly down her nose at Dorian cracks me up.
Adams twin, Stuart, was killed off last year
David Canary (who played Stuart, and Adam) is leaving the show this year.
Sometime in March they are supposed to have a memorial to Palmer.

And all these years I thought his name was Billy Clyde Tuttle.
I was a kid when I got hooked. My mother looked at me like I had three heads because she never watched a soap in her life. I must have been 10 during the summer, after coming back from half day camp.
Erica and Nick??
Nick and Anne Tyler ??(Phoebe's daughter)
Jeff and Mary Kennicott (They killed Mary!)
Erica and Tom Cudahy (loved him)
Cliff and Nina
Jenny and Greg????? (That was Kim Delaney)
Angie and Jessie???
