Singer Ricky Martin tentatively approaches the question of his sexual orientation by acknowledging his openness to a gay relationship in the new issue of TV Aqui magazine, reports PerezHilton.com.
Says Hilton: “In the latest issue of TV Aqui magazine, Ricky Martin takes a hesitant step out of the closet, looks around, steps back in, but leaves the door slightly ajar.”
TV Aqui magazine describes the exchange on its Twitter page:
“ Ricky Martin talked to our editor Saudy Rivera and accepted his heart could belong to male or a female...more in our next issue.”
Speculation that he is gay has long followed the Grammy Award–winning Martin, 37. The Puerto Rican native has repeatedly denied the rumors in the past. Last summer, he announced that he was the father of twin boys via a surrogate mother.

Well we all know how these things go. Tip toe in and around and milk it as long as you can (to "preserve" your widest possible fan base).
Then, when you are not as relevant anymore, voila, the People magazine cover 'proudly' proclaiming your sexuality and getting kudos for your "courage."

I don't know why he's trying to hide the fact that he's gay. It hasn't hurt Adam Lambert to come out and be honest. Ricky alludes to it, so why not just say it?

The only person who doesn't acknowledge his obvious gayness is Ricky himself - and possibly his mother. Everyone knows and nobody cares Ricky! Being honest won't damage your career, truly it won't.

When she asked him if he was gay, he said that he'd prefer not to answer that question. Something about not wanting to "dignify" it with an answer.
