I was stunned at how thin and almost sickly Eva Longoria's arm looked pre-shopping.

I'm thinner than Eva. Guess there's hope in photoshop.

I interned with a very famous fashion mag about a year and a half ago. Trust me, there isnt a single page that isnt photoshopped. Each picture has at least 7-8 corrections. Its weird because none of these men & women looked bad in the untouched pictures. But the editors found flaws in places i hadnt even looked.

Yeah, WE know this but the general public (guys) dont, so it DOES create an unrealistic expectation - and we sound jealous when we show them

"SEE SEE!! look at her BEFORE pic!! BUTT UGLY"

"mmm, whatever dear"

girls arent apart of the general public?

guys do know it but they also know its not as over the top as women wish it were. its funny though how girls dont want to believe that the guys they find attractive in magazines arent "fake" either

Halle Berry looking awesome in her before shot and honestly did not need much airbrushing. Kelly Clarkson looked very good in her before shot, and her after shot while it looked good, didn't really do her justice.

I think Justin Timberlake looked way better before. The photoshopped pic takes away all of his charisma and maleness. He looks like a porcelain doll. In general, I don't think airbrushing is good for men. I don't think it makes them more handsome. Just like men don't wear makeup, because they would look stupid, they also don't need airbrushing.

kelly looked gross in her before shot.....

and yea halle berry didnt need it, either did penelope cruz imo. i dont understand why they have to make them look absolutely 100% perfect in every aspect in these shots? they look great anyway we dont need these dolled up, photoshop images to get the appeal

i never realized how much of an influence over-photoshopped, idealized photos had on me until i realized that natural, normal people looked more foreign to me than airbrushed celebs.

i was looking at someone's face and honestly couldn't understand why they had pores, wrinkles, and little hairs. it wasn't that i was consciously trying to hold them to a standard i knew was false and unrealistic. rather, it was that i simply could not remember what real people looked like up close!

even the fact that their skin was a little pinker in some areas disturbed me. i actually got squeamish thinking that they had bloodflow and were alive!
