The reason men get fatter when they get older is because they don't or stop working out and eating well. If they want to look fit, they need to diet. But if they don't care about their bodies, then eat, drink whatever they want. Whatever makes them happy I guess.

Sometimes they do a turnaround at 30 or 40. But if especially stubborn it probably won't be until a doctor tells them they are going to die if they don't. Usually that first checkup where they have to start getting ass-probed, if nothing else. Sometimes not even then. Most men I know...regardless of how hard they work out or how good they look for the time being....really do eat like crap.

Everything you said is true. Many men look better in their 30's, 40's than they did in their 20's. And I've known guys that changed their ways only after seeing the doctor. Oh yah, guys can work out, but if they eat like crap, the fat will still be there above the muscles they worked out. I believe what we eat is more important than the workout. I don't workout or exercise at all, but I stay fit by keeping a really strict diet.

This is where having good genes can be a devil in disguise. Guys who can get away with eating like shit without it seeming to affect their looks or health for much longer than averge only have it that much harder when they do go to try and turn that around (whether for health or vanity) cause they've had more years of living with/cultivating bad health habits. It catches up with everyone eventually. I've seen guys who even managed to stay thin and fit looking their whole lives so never considered watching what they eat pay for it later with internal health problems that are way worse than the appearance of a beer gut.

Here's an interesting fact from IMDb: Did his own singing while playing Jim Morrison in The Doors (1991). The real members of the band said they had difficulty distinguishing Kilmer's voice from that of Morrison's.

STFU Ice no it was not that long ago was it thanks now i'm really depressed I knew he did his own singing in the doors and damn he did sound a lot like Jim he looked a lot like him too IMO val was so damn hot back in the day it's really really sad to see him so fat but hell he still looks happy

Yeah, he was probably his most attractive in that Doors movie,

when..I saw this picture it made me think of the family guy episode with herbert where..he yells to chris, "get yo fat ass back here"...his face is still..I guess attractive..it's kind of cute in a way..chubby little man.

He's not like he used to be, but honestly, a little chub does not bother me. Maybe this tubbiness has been a humbling experience for him and he's cooler to hang out with now. He once had a rep for being a big asshole.
