It really is better cold. It's hard to drink it all at once being so cold, so I do half at a time and take a deep breath in between.

I get the Braggs organic one and dilute it in water. The taste does not bother me anymore.

I've tried a tbsp. of apple cider vinegar with 4 oz. of water and it's not so bad. I need to start doing it again.

I've just started using again, I stopped for a few months and have put on about 7 pounds. Whether this is anything to do with ACV I don't know, but like Annika said, it also made me feel sooooo much perkier too!

Anyone still doing this? I just started back with it yesterday. I figured I'd give it a week and see what happens.

I stopped after half a bottle. A couple of my teeth with fillings got super sensitve. That went away after I stopped. Now when I do
drink it, it is with a straw. It is a wonder cure for acid indigestion.

ok just a warning, i used to do this in the morning (not for weight loss more digestive things)

and when i went to the dentist recently the hygienist thought i was bulimic because the back of my teeth were really acid worn.

I brought up my concerns about the acid in vinegar and I got bitchslapped.

I need to dig up the post that says vinegar won't affect teeth....

Well, I guess it wasn't exactly a "bitchslapping", but sprynkles did reply that I was misinformed. I still have my doubts though.... but I didn't try the diet, so I don't have any personal experience to go off of.

I was wrong dead dwarf. I'm sorry. It is
not okay on the ol chompers. I've been
drinking ACV for over 20 years, but the
Heinz distilled stuff. I never had any sensitivity.
So I felt okay in saying it would not hurt your teeth.
I was only going on my experience with it.
I've been using the Braggs undistilled stuff since reading
about it in this thread. Don't know if there is a huge
difference in the two types of vinegar, but I definately
had bad results from this type of vinegar. That is why
posted the tooth pain thing. It took me awhile to track
down the problem to the vinegar. I thought maybe it was
the gum I was chewing or numerous other possibilities.
After I stopped using it, it took about 2 weeks for the mind
numbing sensitivity even to cool air to subside.

hmnn, surely if you dilute it enough that shouldn't be a problem? Ii couldn't drink it neat. Maybe I will use a straw from now on...

Oh my, that sucks! My teeth are pretty sensitive as is, but I can't imagine what your teeth were feeling like.

I'm glad you figured out what was causing it and that it went away.

Just a couple of points....you're not supposed to drink vinegar straight, you're supposed to dilute it.....I reference any info I've ever found googling insulin resistance and vinegar. And the mix is only supposed to be maybe a teaspoon to a 16 oz. glass of water.

Ideally, you're supposed to drink it right after you eat. The reason why you feel better is that vinegar can be used to treat insulin resistance (it is said to act like the prescribed drug metformin), which is probably why Fergie uses it, to help to reduce insulin levels to keep the blood sugar even. If you feel perkier, you may have an insulin resistance problem and may want to have it confirmed by a doctor.

If you have a reaction, say, like, you feel nauseated after you take it, you don't need to be doing this....you digest your food well! See, vinegar is also a trick to use if you have digestive problems where you don't produce enough stomach acid for your food. If you have a lot of gas, it is worth trying. But don't do it more than twice a day and be sure to brush your teeth!

    Just passing along info.
