I became interested in trying ACV recently. I wanted to try it for the purpoted health benefits, and any weight loss that comes from it would be an added bonus. lol
I've been doing ACV mixed with local honey (two tablespoons of each) in a cup of water each morning for about ten days now. I've noticed the following:
- Chronic pain in my right foot (especially upon waking in the morning) is substantially eased. I don't hobble when I wake up anymore.
- Significantly diminished premenstrual bloating.
- Significantly diminished menstrual cramps.
- More energetic.
- Lessened appetite.
- Diminished digestive issues/stomachaches.
I'm definitely going to keep taking this stuff!

I just started taking it, so I haven't noticed any changes yet. It makes me want to vomit, so if it doesn't work, I'm going to be extremely pissed.

I do it in shots washing it down with some water.
The first time it's gonna be pretty bad, but you do get use to it.

Isn't it supposed to assist in speeding up your metabolism...

Apple cider vinegar speeds up metabolism especially when taken regularly before meals and if used in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise program it can be a powerful aid in keeping your weight under control.
|
I guess everything helps....

Isn't that the formula for making a volcano erupt? You know, like those science fair volcanoes kids make?
When I was a teen, I had given some pot to a friend of a friend who got busted and ratted me out. My friend told me to drink vinegar and then I wouldn't test positive on a pee test. I drank as much as I could handle and was sick for about a week.

I've been doing vinegar shots for a few days--and I've already lost weight. Because the stuff makes me nauseated for hours after I drink it!

I bought some yesterday after reading this thread. I don't mind the taste of it too much but it makes my tummy feel prickly for a while after drinking it.
I'll wait and see, a dessertspoon a day mixed with water!!
I want to drop about 5 pounds in 6 weeks, minimum, I'll see if this has any effect (along with a healthy diet of course )

Actually, I did this a few years back on advice from my doctor (I was trying to lose a stubborn last two pounds) and the weight just slid off, easily. I might do it again, it truly did work. All I remember is that I took it quickly in the morning in the form of a shot, and followed it with a spoonful of honey.

I'm pissed I haven't been keeping up with this. I was...then forgot!
Will try again. I'm glad to see some people have been---and seeing results! Gives me hope! THANKS!

In regards to the erosion of teeth, the suggestion is to mix it with a bit of bicarb.
This website is great and has proved very useful for me.
Go to the left hand side Top 5 Natural Remedies and click Apple Cidar Vinegar.

From Wikipedia
Apple cider
Apple cider vinegar, otherwise known simply as cider vinegar, is made from cider or apple must, and is often sold unfiltered, with a brownish-yellow color; it often contains mother of vinegar. It is very popular, partly due to its beneficial health and beauty properties. Due to its acidity, apple cider vinegar can be very harsh, even burning the throat. If taken straight (as opposed to usage in cooking), it should be diluted (e.g. with fruit juice) before drinking. [3] Others dilute it with warm water and add some honey. [4] There have been reports of acid chemical burns of the throat in using the pill form. [5]
