It's not just that she's scary thin, she really does look sick. The way all that make-up's piled on looks like an attempt to make her look healthy. She must have zero color under all that paint.

SHIT! I'm shocked (and for me that's saying something). There's no way you need to starve yourself into 'a role' like this. She looked slim but healthy at the recent Oscars. This is scary.
Side Note: Cate and her husband have just been appointed as artictic directors of the Sydney Theatre Company which will keep her away from Hollywood for 6 months a year, or so she says. Maybe she'll have time to eat and/or quit whatever else she's done to get so skinny so quickly.

It seems like the new way celebuturds are covering for their excessive weight gains and losses is "movie role." Remember janet jackson pigging out and gaining a huge amount of weight? Yup, she said it was because of a movie role. Ya right.
Maybe she did lose weight for the role, maybe she didn't. But I think too many people take things to extremes (christian bale anyone?).
But no way she looks remotely healthy in these pics.

I sincerely hope that a really bad combination of make-up / dress and angles made her look ill in those pictures. I think she is a good actress and pretty as well, she definitely doesn't need to slim down for attention.

In this picture if you look on either side of the straps, there seems to be a faded marking on each side. I hope it's not what I'm thinking.
