For the first few months I only got in about 500 per day. The first few weeks were all liquids but I would drink a protein drink that had about 100 calories and 22 grams of protein. The goal is to make sure you are getting enough protein and vitamins which is all provided in the liquids they drink. My surgeon believes that you need to get to where you are getting protein and nutrients from food instead of relying on drinks. After about 2 months I was able to get in at least 65 grams per day with just 1 drink and the rest through food.
