    Are high fat diets safe? I really want to try this, but I'm concerned I'll clog my arteries or get high cholesterol.

    I did research on keto and intermittent fasting. I watched countless hours of Dr. Jason Fung about it on Youtube. I found out as much as I could about it. Many of my questions were then answered.

    Diet; the kinds of food that a person, animal, or community habitually eats. As opposed to; a special course of food to which one restricts oneself, either to lose weight or for medical reasons.
    I think people should focus more on how they eat and less on WHAT.
    Here is 3 cents worth (combining the what with the how)- as for the penny change.........
    Breakfast: Eat nothing but fruits, as much as you like.
    Lunch: Eat nothing but vegetables - again, as much as you like.
    Dinner: Eat a sensible balanced meal. Don't be a pig, save room for desert!
    Snacks: ​Think cheese, nuts, proteins, and COMPLEX carbohydrates.
    Some basic rules: ​Never mix fruits and vegetables. Don't flood your meals with fluids. Vinegar is natures cleanser, include it and citric juices often.
    If you want to TRICK your body into losing weight try to minimize the health risks. Your body has cravings - it might be smarter than you. Your body can be trained - go slowly and cautiously. It is ABSOLUTELY unhealthy to lose weight faster than it was gained!
    I could explain how and why this system of eating works to lose excess weight and maintain a healthier you - but I won't. Having seen thousands of fad diets over the years I have come to believe that common sense isn't very common.
    Almost forgot - get up off your asses and get some exercise so your skin shrinks where it needs and your joints thank you for the freedom!

    Honestly spry, if you want to minimize health risks than yes - unless you decide to change your lifestyle. But aren't you just being a smartass? Did you gain 50#'s a year for 10 years and now have a spot on 600# Fatassedlifestyle. If so than lose 50#'s a year until you no longer look like a manatee. As I lamented before - NO COMMON SENSE.

    Sorry, I did not think spry asked an honest question. As I mentioned, it sounded like a smartassed comment (rhetorical) and not a valid question needing a reply. "Oh, so I should just stick my head up my ass and wait for redemption?" - "Yes Virginia, sounds like a plan". A valid question would have been; "Do you mean a small percentage of rapid weight mass increase/decrease is also unhealthy?" At which point I could have replied; "Of course not, that is normal. I was referring to drastic extremes that people follow fad diets as some 'short cut' to a healthier body."
    So get off my ass - If spry needs defending I'm sure it won't take long for your chance to arrive again.
