Expect a "oh-my-words-were-taken-out-of-context" backpedaling in a few weeks. Just wait.

She has said the same thing in other articles in recent years. Her honesty is refreshing. All the superskinny celebrities can't have super fast metabolisms and killer bodies "just" from running after their kids.

She really has no choice. If she wants to work, she has to look f*ckable and that means adhering to crazy Hollywood notions of body and beauty ideals.

She would still get parts if she gained weight, but not the ones she wants.
I may be wrong, but in a few years she may start to have not as much choice in roles, regardless of her weight. Then she can throw caution to the winds and eat a donut.

^^Unfortunately, it's true. She's a wonderful actress and a beautiful woman. But let's face it, she's almost 50. (Female) youth is king in Hollywood.

Yes. It's not fair, but there it is.
