It's like a zombie has come back to life and is giving an account of the underworld. Nice (fake?) Chanel earrings nearly knocking her out.

Effie!! Can you please give us a quick translation or rundown of what is being said in that video clip?
It's just bizarre that she still has energy to move around at that weight.
Alicia Silverstone: "I think that the film Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."
Yeah, that's the part I don't understand, how does she have the energy to not be delirious and actually engage in conversation, or even walk?
Since I was the one to post it, I'll take over:
Nana says that she is happy to be on the show but was also a bit afraid to go on considering Annita's reputation (the interviewer has a reputation of being very straightforward). Annita teases her that just seeing her made her start eating so much she gained a kilo in the 2 weeks since they met. She asks how Nana is doing and Nana says that she is better than she was a little while ago when she really wasn't careful at all but not as well as she was doing before (apparently she had been at death's door before and then recovered partially after meeting her husband and when she got married. I have seen wedding pictures and she definitely looked kinda human there) however she backslided after the marriage but is working on it.
Annita asks whether it's bulimia or anorexia nervosa and what they can say about it since there are many women who are going through it. Nana replies that it was different from time to time with her and that it's not important what you call it, it's just basically a disorder. They talk about her career on TV. It started in 1996 and then Annita asks when Nana developed her problem and whether she minds if they call it a problem. Nana replies it's nothing but a problem and that just calling it a problem is definitely putting it mildly. It started around 2005. Annita gives a rundown of Nana's career (she was never the prettiest model ever, just a TV presenter) Nana explains that at about the time she started having issues her career had been going great but her personal and family life had been going badly and that's when she developed the issue. She claims that there was no diet involved and that she had never really gone on a diet. Annita chimes in that Nana had never been overweight and Nana says that she had been a bit chubby as a teenager but never fat and never terribly preoccupied with her weight at that age and never owned a scale. So she says it was definitely never something that had to do with her weight but rather how she had some serious issues with her family and that upset her. She says that this is not an excuse, just an explanation and that she had always had problems with her parents and unfortunately she never learnt how to handle them. So Annita asks her what made her turn against food and Nana said that it was not that she turned against food, it was that she turned against herself and that in therapy she realised it had to do with her relationship with her mother. And in general that her relationship with her parents was never a proper one. However, she says that it is not something that she wants to use as an excuse and that she absolutely doesn't blame anyone else for what happened. Annita agrees that it is a health issue and they should see it as such and not talk about blame.
Annita points out that Nana has a lot of followers in Facebook and Nana says that she is happy about that and she is a bit of a technology freak and loves her followers. Annita lays it out to her that she is looking scary, she's a skeleton and people are shocked when they see her. She asks Nana if it bothers her that people look at her like that. Nana agrees that it does bother her, she feels like people are "racist" against her, she hates it when they look at her with pity but that she totally understands. It hurts but it is much worse when people who are close to her look at her with pity and concern and that she really wants to not give them reasons to worry anymore. Annita asks her what she is doing to stop that. Nana answers that she's finally trying in a more organised way to get better though it's not the first time and even though she had done better before, like at her wedding when she was much better. Unfortunately she backslided afterwards and this back and forth is a characteristic of the disease. Annita says that it is a mental disease and Nana agrees and says it absolutely starts as a mental disease but later becomes a physical disease. Annita asks her whether the fact that it's a mental disease and it started from her mind is not making her want to fight it more. Nana answers that exactly because it started in her mind that makes it very scary what you can do to yourself and that no one can hurt us as much as we can hurt ourselves.
Video ends there, not sure whether it was also the end of the TV show since I didn't watch it.
As for how she has the energy to walk around, she totally does! I have even seen her going around carrying groceries and they looked heavy, too! Apparently the human body can take more than we think.
Thanks Yanna! Her words tell a much different story to the pictures we see. From her photos, I get the impression that she loves the shock value and attention that she receives. But her words are quite sad (if not a little contradictory at times). Hope she does manage to turn this around.

I don't think the public attention is doing her much good because she must be afraid that she will just lose it and fade back to obscurity once/if she gets better. I don't know, I really do hope she will make it through this.
This is scary ... Therefore I love full-figured girl.

Had to look up some healthier pics, she was cute. I hope she gets it together. Thanks for the translation Yanna, answered some questions for me.

It's like you ate too much crazy then puked it all over a post and hit submit - Nancydrew
Damn those beach pics made me gasp![]()
Who lit the fuse on your tampon?
There is no prettier girl like Denise Bidot? :-))) ... Now look at me again gets criticism ...
I've been lurking on this thread for years. The photos are horrifying yet in the interview she did not look as "shocking." She's definitely too thin but her voice sounded strong and her face looked fuller. Maybe it was because her arms were covered. It is really sad to see her healthy pictures and her wedding photo. She was a very pretty girl.
Thank you for translating the interview.
