I bet they don't eat healthy. Hell, my grandmother had it done, and she exercise ate healthy for a year, then went back to her old eating habits...and of course gained the weight back!

I had gastric bypass 5 years ago. They are very clear in telling you it is not a cure. It is an aid to help to lose the weight. The only way to make the tool work is to change your life. I work hard at eating right and work with a trainer several times a week. Do I now love exercise - hell no! But I do it. I went into surgery with the mindset that this had to work which meant I had to work.
Carnie had regained a lot before getting pregnant. Then she looked pretty good after the baby was born. It has now been several years and it looks like she has gained 40-50 since giving birth. She can have a follow up surgery called stomaphyx but it won't help her unless she gets the eating under control. I wish her all the best.

She became an alcoholic afterwards too. I saw some show where a lot of people who had this surgery then turned to other addictions, drinking, gambling, shopping.

Yep, ya gotta find another way to relieve the stress....I went from cigarettes to food and, hopefully, now to running and cutting trees.....I would have preferred carnal activities......but no one volunteered?

I thought with the band surgery, it was impossible to gorge yourself, that your stomach couldn't handle it?
Did she ever say her problem was metabolic and caused weight gain regardless of intake?
