She felt more comfy getting a breast reduction, good for her. Some fat chicks have small breasts, but hers were huge. I kinda feel bad for the big girls with smallish busoms....they have the chub rub without any good cleavage!

It is so funny because she DOES rock-because she is just TALENTED. Gifted. That's it. Could you imagine if Jennifer Garner were that big-would she have a career? Can she sing, can she dance? Her career is being buff and doing acrobatics.

I had breast reduction too
And I still believe that MORBIDLY OBESE people (not just women) are, deep down, desperately unhappy. I am writing a thesis about it so I know

You THINK you know. That is the basis of a thesis.

The thesis thing was a (lame) joke and refers to a poster who went a bit psycho over a typo in a different thread. Interesting point for Philisophy101though, none of us definitively KNOW anything, we just believe we know, or think we know. Discuss.

How can one NOT be miserable when you can't even walk up stairs...no, fuck that...just walk down the street or any distance more than a few paces....to the shitter in the next room without being out of breath? The last month of my pregnancy I was so miserable just being that physically big....taking up that much physical space...that I could not imagine how very obese people functioned. I'm not trying to sound nasty, because I do sympathize with the struggle when it comes to weight loss, but that big and NOT miserable/totally fine with it? Bullshit. The only way I can see that is if someone has been that overweight all their lives to where they never knew what anything else felt like...and even then I have a hard time believing that. Aretha has been normal weight as an adult so she knows what it feels like. She cannot truly be fine with this.

Queen Latifah is skinny compared to Aretha here. Queen Latifah could probably run out of a building if there was a fire.

Everyone keeps posting about how people should feel good about themselves and obviously fat people don't feel good about themselves. Why must people feel great about themselves all the time. This is some wierd age we're in where strangers can decide who feels 'good' about themselves and why they should or shouldn't. If I tell you I feel ok with my weight, don't second guess me. You don't know me. End this thread, it's pointless.

Why end a thread just becase one poster doesn't like it? Maybe the solution is for hello NOT to read the thread.

She didn't write "fat people," she wrote "MORBIDLY OBESE" people. She questioned whether Aretha Franklin is truly happy/satisfied/what-the-hell-ever with her weight. As do I. It is delusional of anyone to think that a MORBIDLY OBESE person doesn't find carrying ALL that extra weight to be a miserable experience. Delusion, I say!

I kinda think that maybe she isn`t PROUD per se but more like DIGNIFIED for being a large person. Dignified as a human being regardless of size.
