I have a computer program from CalorieKing and it says for my height and age (5'7 and 37 yrs) my calorie intake should be no more than 1450 and that is to maintain my current weight.
I have never got anywhere near that amount.

If I want to lose weight I need to stay between 1200-1500 cals per day, so 1750 calories seems so high to me. Of course Aretha Franklin feels like she is starving, she is most likely used to consuming mass amounts of food/calories. I think she is a food addict & I did not know you COULD eat pigs feet! I think that she is pushing it to lose weight in a month & most likely won't be successful.

When I was a teenager, I used to work in a deli and had an old woman ask me for 6 pigs feet. In the tray in the counter were only 4, so I had to go into the back refridgerator to get more.
They were in huge plastic buckets with the pull tab to open the container. I pulled the tab, then attempted to pull the lid off. That sucker was on tight, so I sat down on a milk crate and held the bucket with my feet/thighs and pulled with everything I had in me...
The lid popped off, splashed into the brine of the pig's feet and slopped all over me - face, hair, clothes. I got up and started to yell, "Pig juice!!! I got pig juice on me!!!". I calmed down minutes later to give that woman her 6 pig's feet.
I had to wear the pig juice all night, though. Atleast I'm getting a good laugh out of that memory now.

They say women are supposed to be on 1200-1500 cals a day to lose weoght if you active you can add a extra 200 but thats it, and while losing 20 pounds in a month is NOT impossible its hard when your as big as she is and she should be on the minimum of 1200 period.

That's stupid.
First, her fiance proposed to her when she was fat so obviously he loves her like that. Second, she's Aretha Franklin! Everybody knows she's big but she's so great and successful that no one really cares what size she is.
I support diet when you do it for yourself, for health reasons and give it time. Crash diets always proved to be a dumb idea the begin with, and never actually work. You starve yourself for weeks, lose some pounds and then eat like you never ate before because your body goes crazy and you end up gaining those pounds back and often, even more pounds then you've lost. It's not worth it.

I eat 1600 to 1800 calories daily and i'm perfectly fine!!Eating less than that would drive me crazy, lol!!But i'm 22 and 5'4 and i know women are all different so...I admire you for sticking to a restricting diet. You must be super disciplined.
Edit to say...i exercise regularly too.
