Re: Leto as Chapman, from skinny to chubby
They should really, really just scrap this whole project.
When you make a movie from someone's point of view --
a politician, a gangster or a housewife -- you are defending
that point of view as having some merit. If this movie is
really about getting inside the mind of that guy, I'd say
you're subconsciously defending an assassin.
But of course, they're only making it because the marketing
value of the name "John Lennon."

I've been seeing these pictures everywhere lately. There really isn't a point to this movie. Plus, why cast an actor and put him in a fat suit if he isn't the right weight? It isn't like Jared Leto has some major Hollywood pull and is going to be the factor that makes people come see the movie. There are plenty of good actors that would be the right size without the need for a stupid fat suit. They just haven't been able to get a career to take off because they don't have "Hollywood good looks".

I don't think it's a fat suit, is it? I heard he put on the weight. It certainly shows in his face.

Wasn't he pictured recently really, really thin? If it isn't a fat suit I apologize.

no, i don't think it's a fatsuit...it might be though who knows, what with hollywood's makeup.
he was thin a while ago but that really was a few months ago, we haven't heard or seen of him since (besides some magazine photoshoots, but those are most likely old)

I can see the belly being a pillow, but unless that's the best makeup i've ever seen on his face, it's real weight.
Prosthetics don't pull or fold like real skin, and have a tendency to pull when stretched out of their set motion range.. not seeing any of that at all..

Then I was wrong. Usually actors aren't willing to gain THAT much weight for a role. Guess his career is far enough in the shitter that he was willing to.

Well he is a method actor. For requiem for a dream he lived on the streets for a while and shot up, I think it was just saline solution. He's a man willing to go to great lengths for his 'art'.

Well I was trying to not spark rumor and speculation. Now I remember that I'm posting on a gossip forum.

It's probably no big deal for him.....he'll drop it soon as the movie is done.
Celebrities have the luxury to be paid for their weight fluctuations, unlike us mere humans.

Well, McDonald's is certainly the way to do it if you wanna gain lots of weight fast. What was it in Super Size Me? 30 pounds in 30 days or something?
