Dang! That can't be good for a body! Stupid question, but does the muscle definition stay when you bulk up that fast?

Speaking from experience. The muscle is still there. It's just got a layer of fat covering it up, hence no more definition (which is when you can see the muscle tone, like with a very lean person) You have to stay inactive for a pretty long time for the muscle mass to atrophy. But then again, that probably varies depending on age, gender, genetics, length of time and extent of inactivity as compared to previous levels. He'll probably shed with without much fanfare when it's all said and done.

It's real weight. HA! I hope he finishes the movie and then finds he can't lose the weight or it comes off really slowly so he can get some 'Method' insight into how the rest of us have to deal with losing weight when we pork up like that.

You're an evil bitch, ain'tcha? I never understood what the big deal is, why people "care" so much, when an actor gains weight for a role. It's no different than shaving your head IMO, just a change in appearance.

Yeah, but if you shave your head the hair will grow back without you even having to think about it. Losing weight - for most of us mere mortals - is a long, hard, daily, bastard slog and often you can NEVER revert back to your original 'skinny' weight.

^^ Well, Jared's a mere mortal, so hah! And they do struggle to take off the weight, so I'm not envious of them for that. What I envy is the DOLLARS to pay for the nutritionist and the trainer and the equipment, etc...
