In what lifetime is she "full figured?"
The lovely Mariska Hargitay (from Law & Order: SVU) is featured in a cover story in the November 2008 issue of Self Magazine. In the article, she briefly discusses her clean eating habits but that she also enjoys everything in moderation.
“You know how you wake up in the morning and sometimes you look gorgeous and other times you look like you got hit by a Mack truck?” Hargitay asks. “I’ve realized that my Mack truck is food. If I don’t have sugar, yeast and wine, I have no undereye bags and my skin is perfect!” […] “I’m not going to give up wine for life. Everything in moderation. It’s not about being fat or thin. I’m a full-figured woman. It’s about, am I going to keep up my energy?”Very well said, in my opinion! And she certainly looks like a healthy woman. Here is a photo of her at the Princess Grace Awards Gala last week in NYC.

"Full-figured" has taken on the same skewed definition as "curvy" in recent years - both polite words for "fat" when in reality they should mean nothing of the sort.

Love her, love her, love her. I was named after her mom.
she looks like a normal woman
I am from the American CIA and I have a radio in my head. I am going to kill you.
She is so beautiful! I love love love her.
Don't fear the reefer..
she sure is gorgeous.
Well, the whore apples sure didn't fall far from the whore tree. Sylkyn
She's a gorgeous, gorgeous woman. But "full-figured"? Give me a break. She needs to get that out of her head right now. She's PERFECT. Women are SUPPOSED to have curves (ACTUAL curves) and look like an hourglass. We're supposed to have boobs and hips.
I hate that "curvy" and "voluptuous" and all of the words which were once used to describe hot women have been hijacked by people who are clearly overweight and to which those adjectives do not apply at all.
I love this woman. She is gorgeous. That gown she is wearing is beautiful.
Uhm. You're not full-figured Mariska. You're thin. About the right amount of thin. Thin without being too skinny.
But I also hate it when obese people refer to themselves as "full-figured" or "curvy".

I don't mind fat women using the term "full-figured", because that is an accurate description, but I am indignant about them hijacking the terms "curvy" and "voluptuous". Fat rolls are not "curves" IMO.
Lumps or mounds would be a more accurate description than "curves".
In my mom's and grandmother's time full-figured used to be women with hourglass figures. When I was a kid and ever heard them describe some woman as "full-figured", it was some broad who had a banging bod, curves in the right places. Someone who really looked like a woman in the pin-up girl fashion. I guess that's why I particularly hate the hijacking of that one by the fat brigade.
