Former Tennis star Anna Kournikova is a more muscly version of her former self as she runs in a Florida triathlon.

The Russian has never been exactly plump, but observers in America fear she's losing the curves which catapulted her to fame in the late '90s and developing a more athletic, slender frame.

The 26-year-old blonde, who last played professional tennis in 2003, ran four miles of the Nautica South Beach Triathlon in Miami on Sunday to help raise money for St Jude's Children's Hospital. Scroll down for more...

However, unlike her fellow competitors, Anna sat out the swimming and biking part of the triathlon, but happily rejoined them later for the post-sporting cocktail party.

Following the run, Anna said: "It was really cool. I am a little out of breath, sorry. I was expecting nothing really because I was sick a week or two ago.

"My teammates are amazing athletes and incredible women, I give them a lot of respect."

At the triathlon after-party on a yacht moored at Miami Beach, Anna declared her six-year relationship with Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias was still going strong, but the pair had ruled out marriage.

She told People magazine: "I'm never getting married. Everything is good."

Her body was SICK in the before days. Especially in that last photo there. She's still a gorgeous girl but bones aren't sexy.

She's been a bag of bones for at least three years. Those are some bony shoulders up top.

She is one of those people cursed with 'chubby cheeks'...

No matter how skinny her body is her face has remained full...which looks weird...

Chubby cheeks aren't so bad. When you begin to age, your face stays smoother longer. She did look much better in the before pic.

Bahh. The way I worded what I said does make it seem as though I see chubby cheeks as a bad thing. Which that is not the case because chubby cheeks can be cute and definately makes you look younger...

I just meant that on her it looks weird because if you look at her just her face, you'd think she's a healthy, athletic girl with meat on her bones...but if you look at her body that tells a completely different story- she's just about skin and bone.

I don't know. Some people can lose tons of weight everywhere but their face...(another good example Amy Winehouse)

Whenever I lose weight the first place I lose it is my chest...

and then my face, etc...

But indeed chubby cheeks are not bad...

Shape and sizewise, her entire midsection and pelvic area....along with her thighs and arms for that matter....look just like a little old lady's. Where as before her build was simply boyish (no hips).

Take away the long braid and she looks just like a skinny dude from the back.

Broad shoulders, no hips, no bottom.

Wow, it's bad. Maybe she wants to look more boyish for "her man".

Still, very sad. She's in deep. I'm surprised she didn't collapse.
