Couples of mixed weight.
I always find it refreshing to see a thinner man with a bigger woman and vice versa. It just makes me feel like they really love each other, regardless of physical apperances.
For example:

Freddie Rodriguez ("Six Feet Under") and his wife, Elsie.


Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith:


Thomas Jane and Patricia Arquette:

I fail to see how any of the people posted above are fat. The top woman is very curvaceous and perhaps a trifle larger than fashion currently dictates but she is by no means fat.

Pardon me, but I didnt make mention of the WORD "fat" in my post. I merely said "couples of mixed weight" and "bigger". The fact that you assumed I was using a callous, derogatory term to describe their body shape is surprising. If anything, I was actually trying to express my pleasant attitude towards the fact that they see no need to meet the typical standards of Hollywood weight stigma by losing weight.

^^^ I wondered the same thing, it's a bit controversial because what constitutes "fat" or "skinny" is pretty broad and subjective. Standards vary by culture, geography, prejudices, body image, etc.

None of these couples seem particularly mismatched to me - they look like husbands who appreciate their ladies' shapeliness and seem quite proud to be seen in public with them - and why not?

No assumption, it's clearly stated in the title the words "FAT" and "skinny" describing such couples in these photos. Regardles of which words you use, mixed weight or fat vs skinny, I still don't see much of a weight difference between Patricia Arguette and her husband.

There are plenty of guys who not only like, but actively prefer voluptuous women. Those guys might conceivably be with a curvy woman not in spite of, but because of her body - so I think the whole "she's fat, so he must really love her to still be with her" argument is a bit warped. Just saying.

Aren't there any slim women with big husbands or boyfriends in Hollywood, by the way? I'm sure there must be!

It actually seems far more common, at least in real life, for slimmer women to be with larger men than the other way around.
