Mariska Hargitay is Proud of her Size 8 Body - Sex Symbol?

Mariska Hargitay is proud of her body. The actress says she is a size 8 and she’s proud of it! Hargitay portrays Olivia Benson on Law & Order SVU, and she is amazing.
What Does SVU Actress Mariska Hargitay Say About her Body?
Hollywood is filled with size zero stars with Botox, but Hargitay doesn’t let it get her down. She has kept her self-esteem high, and it shows. She is a lovely and talented actress. She said, “I think I’m a very attractive person, but I don’t put myself in the realm of the beauty…That’s not where I get my esteem,” I’m a size 8, and I feel proud of that, because it’s healthy. I’ve never felt compelled to be a skinny actress. Being a sex symbol is not my thing; it’s not where I shine,” according to Long Island Press.
Ironically, her size 8 is exactly what makes her a sex symbol. Curves are sexy, and she fits that voluptuous, sex symbol idea perfectly. Plus, she is smart and talented to boot, which makes her the whole package. What do you think about her? Mariska Hargitay is right to be proud of her sexy size 8 body.

Most of us would give our left ear to be a size 8 again.... she always looks good.

I wish the media wasn't so focussed on trying to put a specific clothing size as the ideal. If I remember correctly Mariska has a banging body with an awesome defined waist line and beautiful hips but that does not necessary only come from being the "perfect clothing size". Beautiful shapes can come in a variety of sizes.
Alicia Silverstone: "I think that the film Clueless was very deep. I think it was deep in the way that it was very light. I think lightness has to come from a very deep place if it's true lightness."

I'm sorry...she's a size 8... why shouldn't she be proud? The size zero crap has to stop. That's healthy for no one.

I've seen her in person. She's radiant!

And she's curvy. I'm a size 6 I'd say an 8 is about right for her

Hell, most of these Hollywood bitches are probably about a 6 or 8 and just have assistants that remove the original tags and sew in something that says 2 or 4. Plenty of them out there that don't look like they're about to snap like twigs.

This woman has a smoking body. Would anyone really call it fat?

I assume this is referring to my comment. I didn't say she shouldn't be proud nor did I even mention size zero (although for some people a size zero doesn't look like "crap" nor is it unnatural or sickly).

Mariska looks great (noone could deny that!) but I was just wishing that the media could put less emphasis on one clothing size being "ideal" and just allow people to be the healthiest versions of themselves without the labels. Her comments on there own are fine but I hate that other sizes get hated on because the media only ever seem to allow for one perfect size at a time. Obviously not Mariskas fault and I guess I should have mentioned that my comments are not soley based on this article. Just generally pissed off with how size obessed everyone seems to be.

    She's purdy.

I've always wondered how she turned out so wonderfully normal, considering her background. She's one of the few working actresses out there that I'd actually like to meet and make friends with.
...of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

Yeah, the thing about size 0 is that it's the size 2 or 4 of 20/30 years ago. It's just been re-labeled for vanity sizing purposes, so it's not out the realm of possibility that someone could be a size 0 without looking sickly.
