Hmm, her arms are scrawny for a tennis player. I would have expected more muscle.

THE incredibly shrinking Anna Kournikova is shedding so much weight she is looking as stick-like as the tennis racquet she sometimes wields.
Former world tennis star Kournikova is worrying experts with her dramatic weight loss which has left the once voluptuous star looking thin and frail.
The 23-year-old has the "lolly-pop look" common to people with eating disorders where their arms are twig-thin and their head appears too big for their body.
The Children's Hospital at Westmead's eating disorder expert Dr Sloane Madden said Kournikova was particularly vulnerable to the condition as both a model and an athlete.
"She is at significant increased risk because she is part of a group where there is a focus on body image," he said.
"There are groups such as athletes, models, dancers, gymnasts and they have much higher rates (of eating disorders)."
Director of Eating Disorder Program Prince Alfred Hospital Professor Janice Russell said celebrity dramatic weight loss can have a negative effect on young, vulnerable girls.
"We live in the cult of the icon and when celebrities are shown losing all this weight it is a very bad role model," she said.![]()
I'm tired of all this nonsense about beauty being only skin-deep.
That's deep enough. What do you want, an adorable pancreas?---Jean Kerr

^^ I heard a while back that she actually cut back on her training because she didn't like how muscular she was getting.
No man is worth your tears, but once you find one that is, he won't make you cry

^^ I also heard she was a crap tennis player so I guess it didn't matter![]()
^^ Maybe she's crap coz she doesn't get enough practice in then!

Man, you can't even recognize her!
well she's never been a very good tennis player her niche has always been selling products, posing in magazines and being pretty. so she probably just wants to work on her body for modeling. who knows with this half twit. i've never liked her personality much. but she is very pretty.
I dont really think she was ever "voluptuous". More muscular, yes, but I think the term "voluptuous" is thrown around quite loosely these days (i.e. anyone in Hollywood that looks like they actually eat a meal every now and then is "voluptuous").
^^ Amen sister!!
Voluptuous in my eyes is Beyonce, J Lo, Catherine Zeta Jones, not people like Mischa Barton who are considered curvy in comparison to the likes of Lindsay and Nicole. And anyone bigger that 'voluptuous' is fat!!
And just for the record, I have never found Ana all that gorgeous, she's OK but I've always been distracted by her wide cheeks and small features, I don't think she'd seem so bad if she wasn't so overrated, that just attracts more attention to her flaws.

I was suspicious of an unhealthy body and diet obsession ever since she started writing a "body" column in Elle magazine.
If the mind, that rules the body, ever so far forgets itself as to trample on its slave, the slave is never generous enough to forgive the injury, but will rise and smite the oppressor. ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Completely. Young guys wanted her because she wasn't voluptuous.Originally Posted by dragonlady

Maybe she's feeling the pressure of Maria Sharapova being the Hot New Thing with far more talent.
She looks terrible...another one bites the Bolivian Marching Dust.
Mischief. Mayhem. Tattoos. Soap.
Never understood her appeal, at all. Seriously get the feeling that if a magazine tells the majority of men that any particular girl is sexy then they believe it to be so. Would really explain a lot.
