Default Renée Zellweger to pack it on again to play Bridget Jones

Surely this shit isn't healthy? Quicking packing on 30 pounds every few years and dropping it on a dime afterwards sounds like a good way to fuck up your metabolism - or it would mine.

Haul out the biscuits and gravy, crispy duck, Snickers, milk shakes, pizza and butter-soaked potatoes – Renée Zellweger's very special diet to get in shape to play Bridget Jones, because the Oscar winner is prepping to play the full-figured singleton once again.

Zellweger, 40, is expected to start filming at the end of this year what will be the third installment about the love-starved British publishing executive, Variety reports.

This time, the story will likely focus on 40-ish Bridget's desire to have a baby before time runs out, as based on author Helen Fielding's weekly newspaper columns for Britain's The Independent, says the showbiz trade publication.

The Oscar winner for Cold Mountain, who was nominated for 2001's Bridget Jones's Diary and also starred in the 2004 sequel, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, recently spelled out what she desires in a man, saying: I'm looking for an encyclopedia and a dictionary. A bit of the Boy Scouts Handbook. A person who is conscientious about the trail he leaves behind him. Love. Unconditional kindness."

They couldn't have cast an actress that was Bridget's body type already? Preferably a British actress?

Dude, her body is going to go kaput on her. Or maybe her metabolism won't cooperate anymore and she'll stay fat. Then in a bid to get back into a size 0 she'll go completely ana and keel over Karen Carpenter style.

Damn, she's just asking for problems. Do a fat suit Rene.

I agree, and the second one was stupid and not nearly as good as the first IMO. Leave it alone already.

The first one was good, I'll give her that. The second one was crap. We all know how she had to suffer through boxes and boxes of Krispy Kremes to get her Bridget Jones body. No one cares. Why make a third one? She's probably getting paid a buttload, too.

Whatever, she is only doing the movie so she can be fat and happy for a while.

Oh God this gave me the shits last time she gained weight. ''I'd have to eat all day and drink down chocolate milshakes, but I couldn't smoke because it made me lose weight. It was hell!'' yada yada yada.
    Give me a fucking break.

Not to mention it's a good way to fuck up the elasticity of your skin.

Time to start bulking up, Renee? Miss Zellweger flaunts her flat stomach as she braces for Bridget Jones 3

Last updated at 3:08 PM on 16th July 2009
Renee Zellweger appears determined to flaunt her size zero body while she still has the chance.

The Hollywood actress, who looks set to reprise her role as hapless singleton Bridget Jones for a third installment, paraded her lean figure in skinny jeans and a midriff bearing jacket as she arrived at Los Angeles airport today.

Renee Zellweger showed off her lean figure as she arrived at LAX airport today following reports she'll star in Bridget Jones 3

Executives at Working Title films want the 40-year-old star to star in the film which will follow Bridget's attempts to have a baby before it is too late.
It is believed that filming could begin as early as next year with the company's co-chairman Eric Fellner currently searching for a writer and director.

Of course it would mean Renee would have to seriously bulk up yet again to fill out Bridget's famous size 14 big pants.

For her first two films as Helen Fielding's diary-writing romantic, Renee piled two stone and then rapidly shed the pounds afterwards.
But she says overeating wasn't as fun as she expected.

The actress bared her midriff during the outing, which was considerably smaller than when she was filming Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason in Thailand

'It sounds like heaven,' she has said. 'For two days it's bliss and then you're full, OK? And you can then indulge all your fantasies about over-eating.

'Fantasies about non-stop chocolate consumption or your fantasies about ordering the pizza and the spaghetti and the garlic bread.
'Then after a week your glucose levels are going crazy. You're up and down and all over the place. It doesn't feel good, and no one wants to hear that, but it's the truth.'
But that wasn't quite as bad as the dieting afterwards.

'It was horrible,' said Renee. 'On one side it's fantastic because you get to go back to taking care of yourself, so you feel wonderful, but the first lap around the track I felt like I had a toddler on my back.'
Renee as the hapless singleton in 2001's Bridget Jones's Diary

She admitted in 2007 that she had reservations about putting her body through it all again saying: 'I had a panic attack with all the specialists talking about how bad this is for you long-term, putting on that much weight in short periods of time.'
'The health professionals were warning me about not continuing the project any further.
'It was absolutely horrible losing the weight. The first lap around the track I felt like I had a small toddler attached to my back.'

However, when asked in 2007 if she would consider returning for a third time she said she would be ready to commit.
