lol, India is conservative. Bollywood and india cinema in general don't show kissing and nudity is no no. But sensuality is played up in the songs and dance moves etc...
lol, as for hot indians they can be found in any city in india or anywhere the indian diaspora is located. Generally any group of people who are healthy and well-fed will have some average/good looking people. Obviously, if you went to the slums people would be malnourished/unfit etc... But any indian city is cool, that's where the majority of models/actresses are discovered.
BTW by sheer number of stars, it's clear that indian beauties aren't rare.

Mitra,
Bollywood is national phenomenon in India. Time and again, the people keep saying that the two things that bind the whole country together - Bollywood and Cricket. Even though there is no national language in India, the Governemnt of India communicates with State governments in Hindi and English, for the simple reason that it is the one language that most people in india commonly understand. Therefore if any film industry wants the whole of India as its audience, it would have to make films in Hindi.
Therefore even if it is known to be primarily a North-Indian language, it is the language used by the people of different parts of India to communicate with each other, thereby making it the language of Bollywood, the Hindi Film Industry (not north Indian or western India). Bollywood prides itself on not being limited by geographical boundaries, and calling it a north-indian industry does just that.

Hi there,
India has a deep urban and rural divide. The cultures, the economy, the development, the politics, the lifestyle etc. everything is very different in these two. If you go an Indian city like Bombay ,Calcutta, Bangalore or Chandigarh you will find that girls there dress like their western counterparts.
However, it is a completely different story in villages, which are known to be very conservative. So India is an amalgamation of them both.
