i always used to think the same thing, but if so, wouldn't his mouth (and teeth) have been affected as well? i have never seen someone with a cleft palate NOT have to have massive dental work, yet he doesn't appear to have any major gum/teeth issues...even with veneers that are so common today, you still should be able to see SOME kind of a difference...

anyone have any insight into this? i know, off topic, but i have always wondered the same thing - though he has always denied it publicly...
