Male Figure Skaters

So much attention is lavished on the women in this sport, but I think the men deserve some attention too. Singles, pairs and ice dance, there are some hot men in this sport. Some of them tend to be on the smaller side, but nice things come in small packages.

My favorite male skater, Stephane Lambiel of Switzerland. Sometimes his costumes are amazingly ugly, but I think he's peerless when it comes to his choreo:

Pairs skater Yannick Bonheur, also of France (at Skate Canada, his nickname was Yannick "Boner" because he's packing some serious heat)

Canada's David Pelletier, free of that pet squirrel that was his wife. He has such a fine body, but is very modest and never did the shirtless thing.

Kevin Van Der Perren of Belgium; bad skating but very cute. Sometimes wears a loincloth in his Europe ice shows.

I think Daisuke Takahashi is a cutie pie. (i'm on Chrome, so it sucks at cutting and pasting pics)

Also, i watched the DUMBEST ice skating move EVER last night. Ice Dreams. Randy Gardner was in it, and blech, he has not aged pretty at all.

They are all yummy imo. I really miss watching skating. It used to be on tv every weekend, or so it seemed. I can never find it anymore. So I am still stuck on the likes of...

Ice Dreams was awful. I cannot think of a single movie that has done justice to figure skating. Either they are melodramatic claptrap, or comedies that make fun of the sport, usually about how "gay" it is.

Oh, his backflips were heaven. And he injected humor into his freeskates, which I did like. I liked Elvis Stojko too, but I didn't find him attractive at all.

And one of the most inconsistent ever! What a claim to fame. He could've been great. *sigh*

There's not really any I look at and think, "damn, he's hot." I liked watching Joubert when he was on fire a few seasons back churning out 3 quad minimum long programs and watching Lambiel spin and watching Plushenko skate like no one else could and watching Johnny Weir be Johnny Weir.

Oh, he was maddeningly inconsistent. The cleanest I've ever seen him skate was at the GP final back in 2003, with the Cirque du Soleil music.

He's also very tall for a singles skater, but when he's on, pulling off the jumps is no problem. I hate his face, but his body is truly impressive looking.
