I remember being in Europe shortly after 911 and there was a two minute moment of silence in honor of those who died. The entire city went quiet and people were wildly respectful. Now, you'll be called an American cunt if they recognize your accent. Thanks Gw...you've done a great job, asshat.

My sympathies, msdebagain, I do not personally know anyone that's been killed in the war. My heart goes out to you and your family.

    I miss low gas prices.
I miss the school system that wasn't bogged down with tests for "No Child Left Behind."
    I miss lower interest rates.
I miss the old bankruptcy laws for people that really need them, and now can't file.
I miss the old way I used to fly without having to be at a major airport 2-3 hours early and see the elderly get tagged for random searches because of terrorists threats.
I miss not having respect for my President.

Why does no one ever mention this? I hate how this is ignored by everyone and the media.

I miss presidential scandals on the scale of mere tabloid fodder.
I miss not being thought of as a fundie nutjob just because I come from a Catholic family.
I miss the actual fundie nutjobs not getting their way all the time and not being so vocal.
I miss having a government that didn't remind me of the mafia.
I miss having a president that didn't make me want to slap the smug smile off his stupid monkey face every time he is on tv.
I miss saying "it's only going to be 4 years, how bad can he possibly fuck it up?"
    I miss the impeachment process.
