I'm glad Prop 19 lost. Marijuana should not be legalized before gay marriage.

It'll be amusing to see how the tea partiers are shunned by the GOP in Congress. And the Senate--oh my goodness--imagine them dealing with the crazy that is Joe Miller (if he wins--I guess they'll be ballot counting in Alaska for a while because of Murkowski's write-in candidacy).

seriously, people are retarded. i don't care how much you think obama sucked, that's not a reason to shoot yourself in the foot by electing fucking republicans and, even worse, tea partiers.

This is ultimately going to be bad for the GOP, though. These asshats are going to be flipped out of office in two years and there will be a democratic house majority again. There's a lot of Republicans who are not pleased by this election outcome at all. No one wants a crazy like Rand Paul on their side.

I'm not sure what the big stink is. Nothing was getting passed with a Dems majority and nothing will be passed with a Repub majority.

I have a friend whos trying to blame it on lack of voters. Thats kinda funny because the way people were talking it seemed it would be this way anyway. Most people were unhappy with Obama so they went Republican. Im sure that alot of these people who voted all Republican are the same who voted Bush in for two terms. Ah well, what can you do?

What seems to elude many is that many areas that went Dem in 2008 during the anti-Bush wave were never really Dem districts in the first place. Many of them just switched back to the norm for them.

I haven't checked out Fox News since the results came out. They were so in the tank for every fringe Republican and Tea Party candidate that they even put in extra time (futilely) trying to rehabilitate Christine O'Donnell. And that was at the expense of hanging their new guy Karl Rover out to dry, with multiple hosts saying he should apologize to her.

    And O'Donnell still lost.

Haha, suckit, Sean Hannity, et. al.

I'm very sorry Feingold lost. One of the only real progressives we had.

Maybe if the opponents smoked a lil, they would all chill out and legalize it too.

My vote in VA's 11th District counted, Dem is projected winner. Race is super close though, only difference is 500 votes. Last night during the Republican campaign party, former Gov. George Allen was already claiming certain machine malfunctions lol.

of course prop 19 lost. this is the same state that elected the governator and voted to end gay marriage rights. oh, and in the 90s didn't they vote to deprive illegals of their access to public schools and emergency rooms, which then had to be overturned by the supreme court?

Pretty good result for the Republicans. I wanted them to pick up a few more seats in the Senate, but the result was very good overall.

I'm just excited that Obama will not be able to pass any more of his destructive policies over the next two years. I hope the Republicans reject his budget, reject raising the debt ceiling, reject comprehensive immigration reform, are able to repeal parts of Obamacare, etc.

Oh, and California looks to be headed towards complete financial meltdown based on last night's results. They can't balance their budget & things will get even worse now that the Democrats have total control of the legislature & the executive branch. The Democrats will drive small businesses and productive tax payers from the state by raising taxes. All California will be left with is illegal aliens (who will probably get drivers licenses now) and other government benefit spongers. The Dems' socialistic policies will only prolong the economic recession for Californians.

They'll have to raise the debt ceiling if they want to reinstate tax cuts for the wealthy. As FoxNews' own Chris Wallace said (to Carly Fiorina), those cuts will add another $3 Trillion + to the federal deficit.

I'm sad about Prop. 19. I was all ready to start my pot garden.
