I wouldn't be surprised if it came to that. I think it's a bunch of wacko X-tians being mad that "them Jews are taking over the gubermint!!!" I see it all the time on right-wing forums and how Obama is a "jew-lover" and how he conspires to sell the US to Israel or some silly shit. IMO it surpasses the Christians vs Jews, it's more like ethnic tension I believe.

Wacko Christians, as I've said before, are typically allied with the interests of Israel - especially Apocalypic Christians. Apocalypic Christians believe that Israel has to be in Jewish hands for the 2nd coming of Christ to occur.

Sometimes - well, alot of times actually - it's embarrassing to be an American. I can't believe we put people like this in office. And I can't believe people actually want jerks like this as part of our leadership. Can't paint them all with the same brush of course, but Christian conservative = mean and intolerant these days. I am seriously scared for this country. People should and do have the freedom to worship as they see fit, religion should not be part of our political equation.

Someone here that spouted that to me, I e-mailed him a link to the Confederate Constitution so he could read it for himself. I don't think he read it but he never brought it up again. So really I got what I wanted there.

Opposing someone simply because of their religion in government? Really?

I can't be the only one who thinks/reads the title as "official opposes Jewish housekeeper" every time I see this thread.
