Would this mean that there isn't attorney client privilege if Hannity didn't pay for his legal services?

I wonder how many sex scandals Cohen had to pay off in Hannity's behalf?

So who is playing Hannity on SNL? Rachel Maddow is going to be positively giddy tonight. And Lawrence O'Donnell will have a ton of "commentary" (and judgement, well deserved).

Everything Trump associates with turns to shit. Eventually it's gotta bring him down too.

Jay Leno kinda looks like Hannity.

Sean better take back that crap about not being "entertainment" (following Shep Smith's statement). Hannity actually has the temerity of being a secretly involved ("interested") party, creating a borderline libelous program where he describes Mueller and Comey as being part of "crime families".

Some people are speculating that Cohen coordinated Hannity's favorable coverage of Trump and that's why no money was exchanged.

So let me guess around a little . Trump and Sean Hannity used Michael Cohen to talk strategy under the guise of attorney client privilege ?

How is that possible, though? Hannity's statement just gave up any attorney-client-privilege protection? As far as I can tell, ANY discussion between Hannity and Cohen now can be viewed by the DoJ. Moreover, how is Hannity a "client" without being billed for legal services?

Cohen was known to tape conversations and Hannity just admitted that he wasn't a client and did not have any expectation of privilege - oh the tapes, the tapes!

Wow this is a clusterfuck. The tangled seedy web of Donald Trump has caught Fox News in it's sticky grasp.

I remember Sean beginning to get especially frothy during the #metoo exposures as men all around him fell like perverted dominos. And now he's linked to Cohen- and Cohen said under oath that Sean is a "client", but Sean then denied that. When did Cohen began cleaning up for Hannity and why? I have a weird feeling that the #metoo movement got to him and he grew fearful that his Bill Clinton moments were going to see some sunshine, and knowing that Cohen had successfully (sort of) silenced a few scandals, he called him up (Trump probably prompted it) and had Cohen draw up some papers and write some hush money checks. Sean could have a pornstar baby mama or worse- an aborted baby! Oh noes!

I look forward to a full public accounting of his family values.

    Schadenfreude!

Huh? Doesn't that, by his own definition make Trump an illegitimate President and Comey his accomplice. He had no right to ever say anything about the email investigation publicly and did it not once, but twice, while remaining silent on the Trump investigation of colluding with a foreign power. Comey has not handled any of this honorably and still thinks he's the only ethical one on the planet.

The quote from the book is murkier than that. He says he did not consciously use the polling numbers but was probably influenced by it. He also wrote he felt that since he announced the end of the investigation, he felt an obligation to tell Congress it was reopened. McCabe leaked it to the media.

I can see where he is in a rock and a hard place. If he does not reopen and there ends up being some kind of smoking gun in there, he's done a disservice to the public. If he does and keeps quiet about it, he's aiding Clinton whether he intends to or not. He re opened and reported it to Congress. I don't see the grave mistake there.

He then continued to investigate Trump which leads me to believe he had not picked a winner here. Just went where the investigation(s) led. I haven't read the book though, might feel differently after.

ETA: That video of Shep just about gave me a lady boner when he said "we've had his number for a long time."
