Why are the Texans on this board so reluctant to discuss the causes of the problems the state has? It proves my underlying point: Texans don't want to talk about it. Or they want to blame it all on illegal immigrants and take zero responsibility for continually electing detrimental politicians and quashing any opposing views.
Didn't you live her before? Your family lives here now - what IS the problem? When did it start? How are the Texan GR posters here to fix it? Do we all just carpetbag it on out of here like many others? That seems to be the easiest solution. I'm not a native, I could leave easily enough but what the hell does that solve? What did it solve when you left? nothing, the problems remain. for every person who leaves here, another shows up with less resolve to fix anything than the last guy had.

They don't sale condoms in Texas?

I wouldn't blame the lack of clinics for teen pregnancy....I would more of less call it ignorance and the lack of practicing safe sex.
You can buy a condom for $.50 in a gas station restroom.

California has horrendous problems and I would love to leave and go back to Canada. However my husband owns his own business, (repairing Mercedes) which will not do to well in Winnipeg, ha ha. Also my children and grandchildren are here. So we make do with going up every summer to my sisters. We've tried to fix the immigration problem through voting. It isn't working. why should the good people risk their children's academics, and way of life? It won't be fixed because it's gone too far down the slope. California is almost majority Hispanic, in L.A. it is a majority. When there is a majority of one culture, it becomes the main culture. It might be a fine culture, but I want to live with my culture, sorry.
If I can't be a good example, then let me be a horrible warning.

I can't believe how much blame people are placing on immigration for all this. Yes, it's a big problem.. a problem that was a constant mainstay in the area that I grew up in, I'm not denying that. People are really quick to blame the "Mexicans" for all things fucked up in Texas. I'll stop now lest someone voice their displeasure with me talking about my "Mexican heritage" again.

The only thing I blame the Mexicans for is my ass getting bigger.

    I LOVE the food!

Hell, the Mexican's work around here...that's a lot more than I can say for some races.

Why is it America's fault that Mexico is a third world dump with rampant crime?

They bitch about the tourism industry hurting.. uh yeah, especially in Canada because 5 or 6 canadians have been knifed, shot or beheaded in their rooms in resorts in the last 2 or 4 years!

It's not America's fault.. it's a co-dependent relationship. Blaming one or the other exclusively is just shifting responsibilities around.

It's always easy to scapegoat a group of people when it comes to the problems of politicans. Mexicans, Gays, Poor People, etc, etc. I'd love to see the Texas State government explain their issues with Obama on why they want to form their own country. I don't think the president would tolerate being bothered with rednecks in $5000 suits yapping their toohless gums away.

And no not all Texans are bad people, each state has it's share of crazy folk.
